Markus, I gotta say, your channel is the best. A couple of years ago I bought an NX500 with a standard kit lens brand new. I quickly stopped using it because I got jealous of those guys with their Canon 5D mk III/IV. Since I've been watching your videos, I absolutely fell in love again with it. My NX500 was my first interchangeable lens digital camera, it's really a great camera and it's now my second camera. I got the NX1 a couple of years ago, it's bigger with the EVF which I find useful due to my eyesight and glare that sometimes hampered the NX500 with it's lack of a viewfinder. The one thing about the NX1 that makes it seem so much bigger than the NX500 is the kit lens that weighs more than the camera. It's too bad that Samsung killed off their camera division, they really made some innovative cameras(Galaxy NX).

I know I'm extremely late to the party, but I will say this. I bought the NX300M about 6 or so years ago off ebay for what I thought and realize was a steal. When I got it it was still wrapped in the original box, and plastic around the box, just like it came from the manufacturer. I'm team Samsung, and I always wanted a camera that you can change the lens out. I love that you can tilt the screen at certain angles, be it a low level shot or above peoples heads in a crowd. Not having an EVF is minor to me, since I'm not a big time photographer. However, the pictures I have taken, friends and family love them. I enjoy learning new ways of taken pictures especially with this type of camera. Thanks for the insight. I'm still looking at getting the NX500 if you have left any for us.

I just picked up 2 Olympus cameras from the past. The Olympus Pen EL-1 with the optional viewfinder and the Olympus EM-5 with a couple of lenses. Both money!!! Your videos look wonderful on my iPad. Colors are sharp and vibrant. Well done!

Very cool review of what works for you I've only had a nice camera once in my life it was back in the day before digital Came out it was a Nikon N-65 with a 28-200 lense on it man I loved that camera it was awesome you could take a bad picture with it, no I really mean it Sadly someone had stoled it I was super bummed but told myself that someday I would by another one in thinking about starting a KZbin channel I've got a bus conversion I'm building and thought I should get a nice camera for the channel. it is impressive how much more cinematic the footage of the NX500 is compared to the BMP (which isn't a slouch at all) it looks way more natural (looks tack sharp but not oversharpened like the BMP!) I would love to see Samsung giving another try to making cameras.

Great fun video to watch... And talk about great memories. I had an an NX 500 for work and thought it was a fantastic camera. Unfortunately it was stolen and when the insurance replaced it they sent us a Sony a6000.. because their supplier ,of course ,was out of stock on the Samsungs. After having the flip/touch screen and the terrific controls from the Samsung,, the Sony felt like I had slid back in time to using pointed sticks and bare skins... And the Samsung lenses were much better than the Sony kit lenses

So agree with this idea that older generation equipment serves a purpose - often in a superior and less expensive way. My sons and I recently completed a short using a Panasonic GH3 coupled with a variety of Nikon lenses. The result was impressive, and I am proud of what they accomplished. During the project, they solved problems using knowledge, skill, and artistic creativity, versus money.
