As someone raised Mormon in Utah and now an atheist. 1. Caffeine is only an issue in coffee or tea, not soda. I asked why and got told it's not the caffeine but the fact that it's a hot beverage with caffeine. 2. Utah Mormons are built different, they are usually a lot more rude and uptight about the rules, so that's why you see deviations in the rules from Mormons in or around Utah vs Mormons further away. 3. From someone raised in the church and being around people in it constantly, the stereotype of Mormons exploiting their children online for money, like shay Carl, is really not surprising. It's not all Mormons that are bad, some of the leaders in my church learned I was atheist and still let me do scouts as a kid and were accepting, and some were terrible people.

former orchestra member: conductors/ composers are different, conductors are mostly responsible for not only keeping tempo but helping to blend the sections, the composer makes sure no one section is going too slow or fast, playing too loud or soft etc. composers are usually those who create the music the conductor conducts.. also, some orchestras can play without a conductor! they’re usually smaller “chamber” orchestras, with significantly smaller numbers in their sections, and these rely on the “section leaders” to help que in their section mates! To answer the question on if conductors really preform, I would say kind of. I think their main job is to organize the orchestra and tell the players their interpretation of the music before the performance. So the conductor might tell the orchestra to play some sections faster or slower, or tell certain sections to play louder or softer. For professional orchestras though, them being on the stage is mostly ceremonial. Most orchestras beyond a beginner level are completely capable of playing without a conductor. Maybe you could argue in large echoey halls it helps because it's hard to rely on sound alone and sight is more reliable but it's not necessary. They do help tell players when to play if they have a long time in between notes, but there's no reason the conductor has to be the one to do that, it could just as easily be the first violinist or just make sure the players know when.
