The only thing i take away from this is that because she cheated and lied, an innocent man and father died.

This reminds me of The Watcher. Look it up it’s bizzare. And dude all that circumstantial evidence about Paul’s ex’s new guy these days would be more than enough to at least look into his background

I think the writer threatening Mary, the one defending Ron and the group taunting Paul are all different writers who had no contact with one another but were inspired by each other. It makes the most sense given the difference in their motivations. Also when Ron crashed his truck, the one bullet that had been fired may have just been a result of the gun bumping into something during the crash.

Or him trying to shoot at the car that pushed him of the road...

It always gets misreported, but the report merely said that Ron's gun had been fired ever, not that it had been fired that night. It also revealed traces of red paint on the gun that matched the color of his truck, indicating he mostly stored it in the glove box, meaning he didn't specifically bring the gun on that night.

What same person, on hearing that someone is having an affair. threatens their children? and then threatens the husband unless he confronts her? And then her husband dies under dubious circumstances - driving drunk when he didn't drink, and even if he had been driving drunk, that doesn't explain the shot he'd fired. And set up booby-traps that any innocent person could have triggered? Aren't prisoners' letters opened by staff before they're handed over? Unless they thought it was a "clever plan" to send himself a letter that clearly showed that it wasn't him. And the parole board never bothered to wonder how a prisoner in one part of the state could send letters from another part of the state? And if hundreds of letters were being sent out at a time, wouldn't someone have noticed?
