This is no joke. I lived 18 months in Egypt and when I came back to the USA my kids and I were flagged by Homeland Security and I had to speak to FBI agents and police officers at JFK to answer questions about why I was in Egypt, why I was there so long, if I was kidnapped and prevented from returning. It was ridiculous. And every time I answered a question they basically questioned my answer as if it wasn’t true. It lasted two hours.

It wasn't like that before 9/11. You could stroll right through "security" which was basically nonexistent, with box cutters long enough to cut the stewardesse's neck...and just hop on the plane and they acted like that would never go extremely wrong. WITH intelligence reports stating al quada was PLANNING TO HIJACK AIRPLANE IN SEPTEMBER AND CRASH THEM INTO STRATEGIC POINTS and the idiots in charge of what to do were just like, well i guess we will deal with it when it happens. They didnt care at all. Ive watched the security video of a cpl of the hijackers getting on the planes and it was just...lickety split no questions asked. why 4 (6?) arabs with box cutters IN THEIR POCKET for everyone to see were all getting on an airplane at once did not bother them at all. Their flight accounts had even been flagged at the level where security SHOULD have at least checked their bags. Thrown away their knives and such. But they didnt do that. It was about customer satisfaction back then. Now its about...security of everyone on board. I cant believe the stewardesses would open the cockpit doors during a flight to hand the pilots coffees!! And do it at a certain time every flight too so theyd know exactly when to rush them! Now you cant get into the cockpit for ANY reason. Def not for a coffee. Better grab you a Stanley knockoff if you want hot coffee as a pilot. Threaten to kill everyone on board, theyre still not going to open the door for ANYTHING after take off. Coffee...wtf. That morning coffee and all the men on the flight failing to rush the hijackers and stand up to them and beat their a$$ and such was what allowed them to do everything they did! You could tell it was a bunch of men coming from Liberal places going liberal places. They had no con ept of self protecting and seemed like theyd never thought they might have to fight for their life one day. Because they just sat on their asses and did nothing until they were slammed into the towers. I cannot believe those pilots were in the Air Force. What sissies. And I cannot believe that they were allowed to go off radar for over an hour and the fighter jets weren't scrambled to find them and take them down when they started looking like they were gonna nosedive into a major city, the pentagon, THE White House...actually, the men onboard that flight were the real ones! THEY are the reason that plane ended up in a field instead of in the whitehouse. They had gotten word about what the other hijacked planes were used for, knew they were going to die either way, and chose to go out kicking ass instead of crying and getting their ass kicked and our White House destroyed. When Todd Beamer ends his phone call to his wife and tells her theyre gonna storm the cockpit, he loves her and he puts the phone down and you can hear him in the background saying, "Lets roll." Gives me chills every time. When a man hating "feminist" tells you we can live without men, just know she is a dumbass. When the blackbox was recovered they then heard pounding and beating on what they assumed was the cockpit door because another man yells, "Lets get them!" Beautiful masculinity! Men, don't ever let anyone tell you masculinity is "toxic". God,the higher power, or whatever you believe in, created us to be the perfect compliment to the other sex/gender and we are. No, we are not the same. There are HUGE differences between men and women. And it's beautiful. He called his lady, told her he loved her. Take care of their offspring, and he would save the world that day so the offspring she would raise until adulthood could go on to create another generation of LIFE, but he was going to die that day he knew it, wasnt ok with it, but youre not always okay with your death but he got to do it kicking ass. Hes in Valhalla with the other men on that flight that fought. I'd be SO proud of my man. And if you think your average woman could defend herself like those men did, they reported the stewardess got her throat cut nearly immediately as soon as the hijacker grabbed her. She tried to get away but she was a woman and he was a man and it was no competition. They didnt attack a man. They took the woman because women are easy targets unless they are armed with a firearm from a distance. That you to the men on that plane that remembered they were men and PROTECTED the group against men attacking the group. Men are the best at protecting. ❤

On top of a make work job they do they have also taken on targeting inexperienced travellers causing them to miss thier flights and trash thier belongings. Outrageous. G.😠

They even make you do it passing THROUGH! My eldest went through LAX en route from NZ home to the UK a few years back. Never even left airside but the hassle and the pass he had to pay for... swore never again. In comparison, the security guy in Australia was high-fiving everyone who got through the metal detector arch without setting it off. There's no doubt about which side of the world he's emigrating to!

@@florabritannica I know. Last Year mum and I did the same route on holiday to the UK. After a 12 hour flight you are hustled off the plane and herded along with these air nz transit cards being shoved at you. You get to these scanning booths that scan your face, hand print and passport and after a 12 hour flight your photo is extremely unflattering. You then have to thread your way through the line like Trevor said and the whole time we had this American trying to pronounce Maori words over the intercom (give him credit for trying) and saying things like "Be sure to smile at the passport control" after a 12 hour flight and 2 hours waiting in line you don't feel like smiling and notably the passport control staff weren't smiling at anyone. Then when you get to the line they make you scan your face and hand again (or at least they did with us) because obviously the photo had made us look too deformed. The guy we had had an Eastern European accent and he slammed his stamp on our passports as if they had personally insulted him then shoved them at us saying "You done! You go!" and you quickly scurry away before he reaches for either a white glove or his gun depending on the mood. We then ended up out where the check ins happen and we could have easily walked out of the airport with no one to stop us. The UK passport staff were much nicer as I said we were from the colonies. (we joked about sending the Aussies back home because they had been sent away for a reason).

I've watched every single one of his videos in pregnancy. Keeping my fingers crossed hoping my kid can subconsciously see, hear and understand his impeccable and intelligent sense of humour in-utero and get inspired! This guy is funny, yes... But he's also so so so ingenious and astute! There are very few intelligent stand-up comedians out there and Trevor Noah definitely tops the list! It's one thing to make people laugh using slapstick and/or dirty (adult) humour which is pretty much what you'd find most artists doing these days because apparently there's nothing more hilarious than tickling people's fantasies and then leaving them high and dry... But it takes brains to use comedy to raise awareness on serious issues without hurting anyone's sentiments WHILE making complete sense! This fella is a master of that! Ah! The amazing Trevor Noah! God bless you!

I am sorry that too many TSA make it an unpleasant interlude. I have experienced it myself. I have few reasons to have to deal with it, but I remember how disappointed I was in how things changed from my earlier experiences when "airports were a place of joy", anticipation and excitement. My husband now says travel by air just isn't worth the hassles and discomforts. I am not quite there yet, but it is a dehumanizing experience.

Hei, you're having a new fan, in ROMANIA! Thanks to you, I have learned so many things. And you made me laugh while I was watching alone one of your shows: I never watch alone, I don't enjoy watching alone and I don't laugh when I watch a show alone. But you... you made me laugh out loud! And thank you Netflix, the translation helped me understand the jokes better. On youtube, I'm making a pretty big effort to listen every word and understand (and so, I improve my english :) ).

As a former permanent resident, I was able to skip the longer queues, but I still had to answer all the questions. Every time I went through customs, even though I knew I had nothing to hide and had done nothing wrong, I'd still be anxious that I wouldn't be allowed through to go home. I finally got my citizenship this year. When normalcy resumes and I travel again, it'll be interesting to see just how different the experience will be.

One time in Samoa, while transiting on our way to Hawaii, our flight stopped in Apia and we were told get off. We went through the airport security and had to take off our shoes, watch, rings and empty our pockets. We went up the escalator to the waiting lounge but as soon we came upstairs and were told to make our way out, downstairs and back to the flight 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️
