In this episode, it's time to start heading back to the capital and because it will be tarmac from now on, I continue on a pretty much vintage Africa Twin. I say goodbye to Didier and I'm on my own again: mixed feelings! The incredible town of Fianarantsoa is all worth it though!!

I am old and have been riding for over 45 years. In my late 50s I changed from road bikes to adventure bikes and enduros. I have done 1000s of km on the Nordschleife and rode many years in South Africa and now in India. The golden rule applies: it is 85% the rider and 15% the bike. With Noraly's videos it is 85% the personalty and 15% the locations. The girls were right. Noraly is beautiful. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us. ❤

Noraly is an astounding person...if there can be the combination of quietly cheerful courage, she embodies it. Her capacity to face adversity, natural or human, is remarkable. A few yrs back, we watched a TV documentary about 2 well-known men who rode heavy duty bikes through South America..two bigger whiners cannot be imagined. There is ZERO whining from this tough joyful woman...she just gets on with it. Inspirational is not a word to throw around lightly, but Itchy Boots is inspirational. Sharing her travels is epic. I thank her every time I see a new video.

Oh Island in the sun. Madagascar, just a name for most of us. But now we have discovered it's beauty, the beautiful pristine beaches on the blue ocean. The impressive Baobab trees , the friendly and helpful residents, the Malagasy . A woman called Itchy Boots rode ( with Didier on her site ) on a motorcycle over sandy paths, broken roads, dodging cycle rickshaws and ox wagons. Struggling through the swamps , cuddling with lemurs and not keeping it dry. Her magnificent drone images showed us the breathtaking beauty of this island. In the future when we hear something about Madagascar, we will remember these images and impressions of this island country in the great Indian Ocean . Thank you for taken us on your journey . All my thumbs 👍👍 up for you Noraly . Fedde

_THIS EPISODE CAUGHT MY EYE AND I WAS MORE INTERESTED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS FIANARANTSOA MORE_ *So I did my research and found that FIANARANTSOA was built in 19th century by the MERINA as the administrative capital for the newly conquered BETSILEO kingdoms* *FIANARANTSOA means good education in Malagasy* *It's a cultural and intellectual centre for the whole island* *It's home to the some of the oldest protestants and Lutheran cathedrals on the island, the oldest theological seminary as well as the ROMAN CATHOLIC ARCHDIOCESE of FIANARANTSOA, maybe that's the reason we have many churches* *The city of good education also boasts a university named after it and built in 1972* *FIANARANTSOA is considered the capital of Wine in Madagascar because of the presence of many wine industries in the city*

I thought Madagascar was just rain forest. The scenery today was beautiful. Open areas with very few people and incredible mountains and rock formations. Nice ride today 😊

The old Africa Twin 650/750 is a gem. Heavy, comfortable and surprisingly capable as a do-it-all bike. Hope you get sunshine and won't need the spare tubes. Beautiful island, thanks for taking us there with your positive attitude. Günter/Nürnberg

Hi Noraly, There is no gas gauge on that bike it only has a reserve of 1.35 us gallons. Make sure you are riding with the peacock set to ON, not reserve. Once you start running out of fuel, switch to reserve and find a gas station soon. Remember to switch it back to ON after refill.

don't you love spell-check; petcock is the word! I knew there was a reserve but I didn't know how much.... my current is a weestrom set for 80/20.

Yes, not only how beautiful our world is, but also how beatiful, kind and helpful humans can be. I wish Nicely safe travels as always. Nicely should cut a deal with Discovery or National Geographic to create a miniseries of her 7 plus years of world travels on a motorcycle! This way, millions of more people who don't see her travels on KZbin, can enjoy it as much as us!

Noraly, You have shown us how to be more human. If there was any place you have visited that gets my interest more it's Madagascar! To me it seems like it's the only part of old earth left from before the flood. It's so different from any place I've ever been. I thank you for your unflappable courage to "Go Where No Woman Has Gone Before!!!!!" I want you to know in your heart That My Prayers and Blessings go with you everywhere you go! PEACE!

Suerte y disfrutala.

I gotta giggle about the gas gauge dilemma. While I would gladly admit I would never have the guts to do what this woman is doing traveling across the world on a motorcycle, and I consider myself a biker, most all of the bikes when I first started to ride bikes way back in 1972 when I was 12 years old all had "trip meters"... thats your gas gauge... the only other thing ya needed to know was the mpg's that the bike gets and you never run out of gas. Good luck Itchy Boots, I pray daily for all safe trips for you in your travels!!😁

Wow Noraly, fantastic video all alone again, "stay wild" on your shirt is awesome ! Madagascar is such a magnificent country your drone footages are insane wonderful, love the music! - Didier is a great man, liked your rides together ✌👍 Btw. Kenya, Tanzania had floods due to very havy rain, people died, thats very sad ! Stay safe and protected ❣🙏
