I think the “power knees” or whatever it was called is for baseball and softball catchers, it helps take the strain off of their knees since they are in the squat position for long periods of time. 🤷🏻‍♂️

There's a piece of strontium nitrate in that lighter most likely. When strontium burns it makes a red flame. I think lithium also burns red.

The flame on the torch is red because in the tip where the flame comes out, they put a metal that changes the color. Usually magenta means they used lithium or a metal that produces that color

3:08 that happens because at high preasures gases become liquid and when you use it not upside down the liquid inside has to turn into gas wich is not as compact as liquid so you get less fire. But when its used upside down the liquid doesnt have time to become a gas so it stays as a liquid wich is more compact thus making flame much bigger.

That style water hose actually works pretty well, BUT , because it's made of a sewn together fabric like nylon or something. When you let go of the nozle and it stops the water flow. The back pressure in the hose weakens the seams where it is stitched together, and the hose will completely fail in less than a month.

3:00 Tyler you need to learn how those lighters work.. it's really simple.. but basically you can change the flame by changing the pressure and the oxygen/fuel mixture.. also the color is usually produced by a thin piece of metal that goes through the flame. Lithium or Strontium burns red.

The flame is red because of an atomic emission spectra. Elements have their own unique color schemes when burned. Judging by the color of that flame, the element is probably strontium, but it won’t last forever.

The torch lighter makes a red flame because there is a small filament among the gas jets, which is coated in an element solution (probably made up of lithium for the red color). As the flame burns the lithium, the flame turns red, once all the lithium is burned away, the flame will no longer change to a red and will remain a light blue; in some bright lights or in the sunlight, it can be nearly invisible. (The flame might retain a slight orange color while it burns away the filament as well.) I have a small pocket lighter similar to that one... Also, when you point the tip down, the large jets are trying to push out liquid butane, not just the gas/vapor, so the flame gets a bit unwieldy...

As for the hose... when the new one "kinks" it does still cuts off water flow, but it doesn't create a weak spot that continually and repeatedly kinks easily. Also, when looped and pulled, it is less likely to get a random kink because the nylon material is lighter and more flexible than the rubber of the old hose.

Since for over a year, no one answered your red flame question… It’s a small metallic Ctalyst usually rubidium and/or zirconium. Often arranged in a small mesh or wire a few millimeter above the release valve of the gas. (And yes, just like NASA, Lockheed and the GPS and the entire rest of the planet, I insist on metric measurements whenever things venture into the realm of science! 😉)

For the fire ball shooter, ball up the tp and maybe a tiny spurt of butane or hair spray in the barrel, then put the tp ball in the shooter and then light. Maybe itll work like a diy potato gun

The reason the lighter/torch was acting funky is because when filling something up with butane the butane is a liquid almost like liquid nitrogen and very cold at first. So when it was tilted/just filled it was spewing out liquid butane that wasn't combusting properly due to how cold it still was.

When there is a purple flame, it usually is a lithium compound burning off. And it actually did not melt the aluminum. It actually burned the aluminum off as aluminum dioxide, which is a gas in this instance.

The torch uses a different mineral or gas/fuel to make the red flame and yes it's cool. Different gases make different colors/burn at different temps... I think the hacksmith made a vid with something similar and got different color flames with different minerals

Propane burns waay hotter than butane that's why the propane torch out preformed the butane one. Also butane torches need to rest like 10-15 minutes after refilling that's part of the reason you were getting huge lighter flames

Toilet paper shooter works. You have to have a super tight fitting ball. It makes a combustible pocket when the paper starts to burn. You get a dieseling effect after a second or two and it will explode out of there.

the change in flame color is because a piece of metal that is just slightly out from the jets, its just from the reaction of the metal. kind of like if you take a flame to copper, itll burn green

TYLER I KNOW HOW TO GET YOUR MINI FIREBALL CANNON TO FIRE!! This is intended to be used with flash paper. Flash paper is a prop used by magicians to help add additional flare or effect to their tricks. Basically you get a sheet of flash paper (can be size of reg sheet of paper or also is avail in bigger or smaller sizes) and you would rip off a small piece, more for more dramatic effect, and when lit on fire after the flame initially catches it then almost instantly engulfs the entire piece burning the entire piece all at once and then immediately goes out since theres nothing left to burn. Its all burnt up in a matter of a half if a second, opposed to a regular piece of paper that when lit would light on fire and then the flame slowly crawling across the length of paper until it reaches the edge or just goes out. IN CONCLUSION:IF YOU GET SOME FLASH PAPER YOU CAN USE YOUR MINI FIREBALL SHOOTER☝🏻 P.S. I figured I should tell you (although im sure someone probably already has, but I'mgonna tell ya anyway🤣just in case👌🏻) The way the flame coming out of the lighter torch is able to turn colors is by a small bead of copper i believe being put on the wire or coil that sits directly above the flame.
