Latinos are are people who are born and raised in Spanish-speaking countries. Hispanics are children of Latinos born outside of those countries. For example, my parents were born in Mexico. They are Latinos. I was born in California. I am Hispanic. I hope this clears up the confusion. :)

I hate to be that guy, but hopefully this helps with the confusion.Despite the fact that both terms are used interchangeably, there is a difference between Hispanic and Latino. Hispanic is a term that originally denoted a relationship to ancient Hispania (Iberian Peninsula). Now it relates to the contemporary nation of Spain, its history, and culture; a native of Spain residing in the United States is a Hispanic. Latino refers more exclusively to persons or communities of Latin American origin. While there is a significant overlap between the groups, Brazilians are a good example of Latinos who are not Hispanic. Both terms were meant to refer to ethnicity, not race; however, in the U.S., they are often used haphazardly to refer to race as well. I hope I've helped, at least a bit. Also if you look back, people from Spain killed a lot of people from what we now consider Latin countries. Maybe that's why she flipped, because she knows her history, but than again, she probably just had an attitude.

Algebra, geometry, and trigonometry teach problem solving logic. Trig and geometry are used in construction (ex. creating blueprints for a bridge), navigation for boats and airplanes, and surveying.

I don't understand why people hate it so much when other people watch HGTV, some people in this world are renovating their house that they just moved into, and are just looking at design ideas for their bedrooms/bathrooms/basements so that when they paint them and get furniture, the room won't look like crap -.- we're just getting ideas...and we (well I did) stop when the house has been painted and furnished!

As far as the Latino/Hispanic debate, Scoot: Hispanic refers to the native Spanish-speaking Latin American people, whereas Latino encompasses all Latin American countries (including Brazil, who speaks Portugues, since it shares the common language ancestor to Spanish that is Latin). :)
