I used to work at a Goodwill donation trailer and someone donated a huge Beanie Baby collection. It stunk to high heaven though. Like a lot of donations. Almost everything donated to Goodwill ends up in the dump. So employees feel free to take whatever they want. For many employees, working at Goodwill is literally a treasure hunt every single day (unless you are stuck on a register).

Awww the Beanie Baby collection was cute. That's part of what I find so fascinating about abandoned places, sometimes the people die but other times it seems like the people just... Vanish. My dad told me one story of a house that was found where there was an entire meal on the table for the family, but then like magic everyone was gone. It's sad but really interesting.
