Hi guys! These Starkid Videos get a LOT of fake copyright claims on the songs, but sometimes, there are genuine claims on behalf of Team Starkid Productions. I wouldn't want to remove scenes or mute them, so am happy to leave the revenue going back to the artists, and it certainly doesn't deter me from covering the rest of the musicals! That being said, if you ever wish to support the channel in other ways, feel free to check out the Patreon page, where you can get everything on the for as little as $1! I really do think Becky's monologue is the best writing from the Starkid team, it's that good. Also, the moment they completely turn sinister for that last scene is terrifying, especially when you remember that their characters are a teacher and a nurse, both professions that children are supposed to be able to feel safe around.
@TabithaCascio14 күн бұрын
Hey Veggie! Just to clarify, the character Joey was playing was not the devil, it was Wilbur Cross, the mentor McNamara lost to the Black and White! This character is also Uncle Wiley of Uncle Wiley Toys (the company that produced the wiggly dolls). He was the one that dropped off the box of wigglys to toy zone in the begining.

I would suggest doing KZbin Live’s for Nightmare Time, that way you can watch them fairly quickly and don’t have to edit!

Opening night was Halloween, so the audience was invited to come in costume. I had caught the Twin Peaks references in The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals, and the way the Langs described the characters made me guess they were going to double down on that in this show, so I went as Dougie Jones from the 2017 revival season of Twin Peaks. The unforeseen consequence was that, because I was wearing essentially a day-glo green jacket, all the light bouncing off the stage area in that small theater made me the most visible person in the audience, so when the performers picked their “anchor” audience members at the beginning of the show (the audience members you pick to look at directly when singing or soliloquizing to the audience in general, to make the performance more personal and authentic) I wound up being one of the picks for like 90% of the cast. Wound up being an unexpectedly emotionally intense show for me as a result and probably my favorite ever live theater experience as an audience member. But yes the Twin Peaks influence on this play in particular is huge. General MacNamara was already Major Briggs coded and they brought it to a new level here, and obviously the Denim on Denim look for Wiley Cross is very Killer BOB. Tom and Becky’s romance feels a lot like Ed and Norma’s, Ethan feels like Bobby Briggs, Linda’s got a lot of Catherine Martell in her. It’s very artfully done.

Kendall Nicole was the youngest starkid by far, she was 13 at the time the show was performed. From this show Jeff Blim is the oldest, at the time being 35 at the time. There will be a story involving Lex and Hannah in NMT season 2, but Kendall is not in it because she decided to focus on school. Hope you enjoy the NMT series because it's so much but it's so awesome and so much loreee!!!

The idiom "separate the wheat from the chaff" comes from grain farming. Chaff is the inedible part of a grain plant, which you separate from the edible part; so you separate the chaff (the "worthless" part) from the wheat (the valuable part).
@Meg-Meg-Meg13 күн бұрын
Pretty sure it’s also a biblical metaphor about what god is supposed to do when he returns to earth, separate his faithful followers from unbelievers, which is exactly what they were saying was going to happen when Wiggly comes. I love the use of biblical/god metaphors in this show! Very apocalyptically creepy!
@koalarm14 күн бұрын

The person who came to Linda said 'I was a Colonel once', and he also had the same phrase 'hello naughty list' as the seller who came to Frank's shop with the Wiggly's shipment. And the toys are Uncle Wiley's toys.🙃 Almost all Joey's characters in this (except the Homeless Guy and the Cineplex kid) are the same person.

Do not watch npmd before nightmare time. That would be the worst sin you could commit lmao. It is not worth it. That is exactly like watching black friday before the guy who didn't like musicals. Different storyline but same amount of cameos you'll miss and lore you'll miss. Honestly it is more of a crime to do npmd before nt than it is to do bf before tgwdlm. Imo nightmare time is my favorite part of the hatchetfield series but apparently somehow that is unpopular of an opinion???? But anyways yes absolutely react to musicals in between the episodes of nightmare time but just not nerdy prudes must die PLEASE!!

4:59 before I got into videogames and consoles, iPads, etc., I really wanted the D. Rex toy dinosaur and any other dinosaurs that that company made because they were so cool. Got it and immediately broke a plate (BY ACCIDENT) when I played with it on the table and it pushed a plate off. Good times lol. But also I was hugely into How To Train Your Dragon and I wanted all of the action figures and plushes. The original stuff was so cool and so well designed, I'm so sad the quality went down with each movie that came out.
