Things That Help Me with Burnout as an Interpreter

Some of you may or may not know that I've been experiencing burnout. I'm an in-person interpreter and interpreter educator, and after years of overworking myself, I finally hit a wall. In this video, I talk about my experience with burnout, as well as some of the steps I took to address it. Maybe not all of these tips will apply to you, but maybe some of them will!
In this video I mention the Interpreter & Translator Peer Support Group. I founded it during the pandemic to provide a dedicated space for us to talk about our mental health, wellness, and the stressors we face.
