Voltas is one of the most amazing brands in the Indian business eco-system!! and if you look at the stock price of Voltas you will see that it has shot up by 14,200% going from just over 6.93 rs in 2000 to 995Rs in 2022!! So if you invested, 10,000 invested in Voltas would be worth 14 Lakh Rs today. But while most of us know Voltas as a Tata backed market leader in Airconditioners, very few of us know that there was a time when Voltas was almost on the verge of being shut down!! They were in such a pathetic state that they went from having a market share of 40% in 1990 to just 6% 2001!! But suddenly something crazy happened, the same Voltas brand went to become a market leader in the 10 years and stands as market for 10 consecutive years now beating every single brand in its category!!

Actually, I'd say we'd love it, if there are few (2-3 max) memes throughout the video. It was too frequent and too many. Don't remove it completely. You can also make the memes shorter with just like a snippet, quick in and out. Also, would suggest not to add any meme in the next video as majority of your audience might not like it because of the experience and subconscious memory from this video.

I joined Voltas sales team in 2005, u missed one of the most crucial aspect and that is during that period Voltas managed to get almost all of the govt.contract for AC's, u enter any PSU and u would see Voltas, plus we also sold AMC's

You missed 2 things: 1. Voltas major revenue comes from exports. So I was interested in knowing how did they grew the business at foreign soil 2. The advertisements you talked about were made for B2C model but you missed the B2B part. I was curious in knowing strategy of Burj Khalifa centralised air-conditioning

The climate in Middle East is very dry and needs a unique design to do the job of efficient cooling . Voltas had it and that is why it succeeded and in India too this gave the advantage. At the same time the same AC was good for humid climate like Mumbai.

Channels like this show the entrepreneurial spirit which is essential for the commercial success of India as a manufacturing exporting nation. I am a foreign business entrepreneur and have been importing from India (and Pakistan) since late 1980s. I believe India will become a major world manufacturer. I have seen this with one Uttaranchal company. Prior to around 2000, their concept of quality and quality control was third world, myself and other foreign businessmen had been urging them to take on Western quality and quality control. Ooh I remember the iconic Voltas ads from my childhood... "Murthy eating sambar rice!" The depiction of a well-educated and knowledgeable middle class family man who makes choices for his family only after analysing the cost effectiveness was really great. It was also helped by the fact that Murthy was a traditional south Indian who could make his point in English and Hindi but he made mistakes in grammar and it wasn't perfect so it was more relatable to the audience. And also Murthy's boss showing up at his home unexpectedly and he couldn't refuse to turn on the A/C, each ad had a mini story while conveying the same overall message 😂 Truly a memorable series of ads! Years later I still remember the exact lines: "Voltas All star inverter A/C lagata. Iska 2 stage steady cool compressor kam power leta, all year savings deta!" PS: Also, could you please do a video on the rise of Decathlon and how it's physical + online model is still thriving against giants like Amazon and Flipkart and even though they only sell their own products and not big brand names like Nike and Adidas

Voltas is focusing. Every year. First they launched an AC that can work in 1 ton as well as 1.5ton capacity which they called adjustable ac. Then they made ac which can work on 1, 1.5 and 2 ton capacity, which they named maha adjustable ac.

I heard a lot of bad reviews about Voltas and I prefer BlueStar and I was amazed when I came to know that Voltas was a TATA product. The two most important reasons Voltas succeeded in getting some of their market share back was because of advertising and advertising..aided by Govt policies to support Indian made goods.

Smart ACs are not just a buzz word. Smart ACs are IoT enabled ACs in which you control the ac just from an app like you can ON/OFF your ac from far away place or you can set timer with different temperature for each hour, clean filter notification on app etc. This is the future and voltas is lagging in this.

Hello sir! I have been watching your videos regularly. I am a huge fan of your style of delivering the content. Everyone is talking about the MEMES in this video, I would like to add that using memes in between is not a bad idea as long as it supports and connects well with the content and gives a refreshing vibe to relax from the speed. In my opinion, the USP of your videos is the well balanced and accelerated pace with centered approach toward the context. A little suggestion, if you wanna attract more hindi speaking audience, use some popular hindi-dubbed hollywood or south-indian movie clips as memes, the very new ones.

I choose to disagree here, I myself have 3 voltas AC in my home but the after sales service is just too bad. Last month I needed to buy another AC and this time I specifically excluded voltas from my options and got a samsung AC which did cost me a bit more than it's voltas counterpart but that is fine with me because samsung have far better customer service than voltas. I think the real reason for voltas sale is cheaper pricing and TATA badge nothing else.

Now in 2016 when i constructed my house i bought the expensive inverter bluestar ac for 45k rs and for another room Voltas 3 star ac for 26k rs. You know which one still cools well even if not serviced properly the VOLTAS is still working although with some noise. The bluestar inverter has been done servicing at the correct time but still causes problem. Now i switched to natural airflow method by installing insect net on windows and opening all of them after night time when pollution level is low for good air circulation because the outside air temp is itself 26Degrees at night during many days even during summer in coimbatore area. Voltas is best and cheap AC for sure.

I have voltas ac installed in my house from last 4 years. Quality is brilliant, being 1.5 star cooling 200sq ft and did not ask any maintenance except basic cleaning services.

Voltas had a unique feature inherent to the product and the brand. It was the unique cooling system well adapted to the Indian weather especially in the western part of India . Voltas was the best ac for dry weather and also for humid weather . And for that reason it was best seller before and and has regained the position. The only brand challenged it’s was called Amtrex but it died prematurely.

Hey! The video's content form has changed quite some, with movie snippets, it was great. A few points in the video: while giving restaurant example tangible value X perceived value would make more accurate sense compared to the tangible + perceived as it currently shows. Also the production cost you said went to under 8k/unit but in the video it denotes > 8k (greater than 8k) / unit.
