If you want, the ActiveHybrid3 is actually an electrically boosted 335i. It goes even faster, with better MPG. Stay away from the 2011-2012 ActiveHybrid7s though, only the 2013-2014 have the updated hybrid drivetrain that is shared with the ActiveHybrid3 and ActiveHybrid5 (released 2013-2014).

My guess on the C8 #1 is that someone hooned it off the line and lost the back end over a curb. I'm basing that on the tread on the rear tyre looking like it is no stranger to a burn out. I like the trackday theory as well, but I can't think of many tracks with big enough curbs to rip a wheel off and put a huge dent in another.

I love walking through salvage yards. Even better is with Sam doing the play by play. It's clear he's learned a lot about what to look for that a beginner might miss. I've bought six salvage Diesel Jettas, one for parts, two in progress, two rebuilt and one burned on because of a bent frame, so two parts cars. Still learning and his yard analysis is both enlightening and entertaining.

I imported a 2007 Stang from LA in the US. I love it, great engine good power and economy combined. not overly powerful but you can do alot to make it a lethal machine. I have left mine relatively stock standard as I enjoy it pretty much the way it is. I did replace all the bushes underneath and I put a single piece Ford Performance drive shaft in. The only thing I would REALLY recommend you do is get a better ratio differential the factory one is just way to tame. For add-ons and mods the s197 is a really good Stang to buy you can get many cheap things to improve it

I'd take the first one any day. That interior is beautiful. The first one would be a good rebuild candidate if you have a year to wait on the parts you would need. Although the green water makes me wonder if there was damage to the cooling system. I know most GM products use orange coolant; maybe that wasn't coolant then?

The welding on your audi is really good. If the frame ever cracks again it wont be from that welded section. Some people are just flower petals, or maybe they got ripped off by one of those super expensive fixes from a "certified" company that fixes frames. Who knows

The second C8 is a cool colour: Ceramic Matrix Gray Metallic. It was first used on the C7 and when GM was doing its road show with the C8 there was a red car in the portable building but a car this colour outside. At first you think it is white but the gray is very subtle. With all that is going on, I am not sure you would be even able to get any replacement parts from GM at the moment.

I would never recommend a Land Rover or Jaguar. They are endless money pits and even the ones that have Ford parts are still expensive to fix because they put the less desirable Ford engines in it like the 4.0 SOHC in the LR3 and the 2.0 EcoBoost in the Evoque. The 5.0 V8 in the Jaguars and Land Rovers are not the same exact engine found in your Mustang or F-150. While the newer models are more reliable, they are still considered unreliable and expensive to maintain. The diesels are also very bad as well and the 3.0 diesels have premature cam wear and that engine you get in a Ford F-150 is the same exact engine in a Land Rover. The 2.7 diesels we didn’t get in the States were JUNK.

So the F02 active hybrid7 is a boosting system. It came with the twin turbo v8 (n63 yes the one with valve seal issues) and a small electric engine which during accel would boost it. The battery is in the trunk. I've never swapped one out, but honestly I've had the trunk apart to just short of that and it's the smallest hybrid batt I've seen so wouldn't be hard to swap if you can find it at a decent price

There aren't enough parts to keep building new C8s at the moment. They are behind on the build schedule. Getting your hands on parts is going to prove to be difficult. As well, the C8 market is insane. People are selling theirs used in the 100k range.

I have a lot of experience dealing with body shops with working at a dealership and also salvage yards and the one thing that nobody covers on these videos for the rebuilds whether it’s your channel or other channels is if the window is down on the vehicle and it’s sitting in the salvage yard there’s a good chance that it had rain go inside and the only way that carpet will dry out underneath is if the carpets pole and all the electronics they got wet in the process. And even if it’s got plastic covering the window it typically sits at a tow yard before Insurance company has it picked up to ship it to the auction so even in that case there’s a good chance the interior got wet and most likely rain sometime during those processes so something to consider is the vehicle probably has a lot of water damage especially if he came in contact with electrical parts. And I have experience ripping out interiors of vehicles with low miles and finding water under the carpet so they’re speaking from experience
