I made this cake today. The cake itself was fabulous! I’ll be making this my go to vanilla cake recipe. The frosting was delicious too. Next time I may do a cream cheese frosting or just put jam between the layers with the barest of buttercream frosting. Thanks Sam for another wonderful recipe.

I tried it that way, and didn’t personally love it. I whipped the cream separately and folded it in, it just kind of detracted from the cannoli flavor and it made the frosting more difficult to work with when it’s already soft to begin with.

Made this cake yesterday. It looks delicious in the recipe, however, it is too sweet. A lot of sugar is used for both cake and frosting so beware. I've made many homemade canolis before and ide rather have them than a cake. Sorry I won't be making this again.

A lot of the foods sound similar. There’s cannelloni, cavatappi, ciabatta, etc. I’m half Italian and I still have to think about what’s what 🤣🤣 You should definitely seek all of them out to try. For science! ;)
