I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis by my doctor after Xrays and I asked him what can be done about it. He said nothing, I must just live with it. My wife told me to start using glucosamine sulfate and in three days my pain and discomfort was gone. I have been using the over the counter supplement ever since and that was about 4 years ago. I'm now 76.

I agree with glucosamine, Doc Cherry! I had a terrible knee constanly changing from left to right. Went to osteo and told me that it was my posture. And Physio gave me an exercise that could help because i had also a back pain and i think it was related. I did not stop searching what would be the best weapon i could use to eliminate this pain. I went to my acupunturist who is also a naturapath, he gave me a bottle of glucosamine chondroitin. And i took it for a month. Wow!!! It really works! From then on...i always buy the same product to keep my bones and joints healthy. Thank you Doc Cherry. God bless you and everyone reading this.

I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis (knees) 20 years ago. The doctor told me that glucosamine chondroitin doesn't work for every one but she suggested that I give it a try. After about ten weeks the clicking in my knees as I went up and down stairs went away. I grew lax in taking it after ten years or so and the clicking came back. I resumed my regimen and it went away and has stayed away. I recently had surgery to my right knee due to a damaged meniscus. The x-rays and MRI's revealed that the cartilage in both knees is good and I will probably never need joint replacement. My exercise regimen is about 8 miles on my bike and 1000 yards in the pool... four or five days a week. I'm approaching my 75th birthday. The advice in this video has worked for me.

@@annejames890 Consider adding about a teaspoon per day of turmeric powder (it's really cheap when you buy it as a bulk spice) to your food and/or drink. You need to include a smidgen of black pepper with it so that your body can assimilate the curcumin in the turmeric. It's an excellent anti-inflammatory. There are lots of KZbin videos on using it. I know I'm wrong, but I personally do not believe it's wear & tear & age or genetic related. I believe it's a gut health/improper diet related issue. The treatment to prevent osteoarthritis is what I've been doing in my weight training for YEARS. Osteoarthritis of my hip. I've been doing the proper exercises, hip stretching/mobility & cardiovascular exercises in the form of bicycling for YEARS. AND I STILL GOT IT. I wasn't doing the exercises to prevent osteoarthritis, it literally was what/how I trained already. I've been told if I had been doing these things that I wouldn't have gotten osteoarthritis. I said I've always been doing these exercises. So, that is why I believe it is a nutritional/gut health issue. I also don't believe that it can't regrow! I think we just haven't figured out the proper nutrition diet yet. It's just a matter of time

HI Sir Noel, thank you for reaching out. When you talk about spondylosis, this refers to osteoarhtritis.I will keep this in mind with our next videos but if you have spondylosis in your lower back, you need to know that flexing your spine by doing exercises that will promote spinal flexion will help you manage your pain and lurching your back will make your symptoms worse. Please check this video and do the FLEXION exercises shown here 3-4x. here is the link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l3ird5mCbKyjfZo

It may but not as much as Osteoarthritis. The main problem with Rheumatoid arthritis is its auto-immune response in the body that causes the inflammation. Can you give me advice what to do and food to take. What's going in my body. Blood pressure is so high 295/110 pulse 95. Can discuss this fibromyalgia on your channel. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Thank you for sharing. Your pulse is normal but your bp is really high, its alarming because this wont be safe for you. Have you talked to your doctor about this? This needs to be treated asap to prevent stroke and affectation in your heart. I am so sorry to hear this, the symptoms that you feel are really valid and fibromyalgia can sometimes get difficult to manage but something can still be done. You need to do pacing of activities, do do some exercises on hours or days when you are not too tired, you need it to promote flexibility of your muscles. You can benefit from Physical Therapy rehab, look for one in your place. I have a video of fibromyalgia, please check it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mpfUhoebqteSiJY

And thank you for bringing up indomethacin. I've been taking so many of those lately due to pain in my hip (especially while driving 🚗), and Tylenol doesn't 😅 help at all. The thing is, I'm type 2 diabetic with stage 3A kidney disfunction. I'm really afraid to continue taking the indomethacin. Although I think my issues are more gout (diagnosedrecently) & rheumatoid related.

Thank you for sharing Snowblo, does your doctor know about this, your renal status? Yeah if you can have other means to help with the joint pain naturally it could be better. If there is pain and swelling in your joint, cold compress for 15 minutes, 2-3x a day will help. For your hip if there is no swelling, hot compress for 20 minutes will help ease the pain. Avoid long drives, if you need to, stop and stretch every now ang then. @leonorajaluague2038 Жыл бұрын
Hi doc. I had this on and off knee pain when walking ang getting up after sitting. Lately the pain doesn't go away. There's no pain when am resting. The moment I walk, I have to do my steps slowly because I sometimes feel something at the back and side of my knees that may cause me to fall down. I went to the doctor and advised to undergo x-ray of both knees. The result says I have degenerative osteoarthritis. Though under medication, its not an assurance that I will get better. The other option is knee surgery which is very costly. Watching this very informative video and reading the sharings of your subscribers, I am thinking of trying glucosamine. By the way, am 63 yo and a diabetic, type 2. Thanking you in advance for reading and will greatly appreciate for your input on this regards.
@DocCherryDPT Жыл бұрын
Hi Maam Leonora, what is your pain scale from 1-10? Yes this may help especially in early stages of knee osteoarthritis. Weight management is also very important because even patients who had knee replacement would have the tendency to feel pain again once they gain weight. What you can do is Physiotherapy rehab, you can go to any hospitals with Physical Rehab department or go to any Physical Therapy clinics., this is conservative management. When conservative management fails to lessen the pain, that is when surgery is needed. After surgery you will need to do rehab again to strengthen incised muscles. Check these videos, these are exercises for the knee that you can do on your own at home: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nJrOgpJmqMelbbc kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZSWfHh-bt5rkNU

I found that a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar with the mother, diluted in a glass of water first thing in the morning helps neutralise the PH of the body, also very important, start walking backwards, find a spot that you can do so safely, and walk backwards, each day a little more. That has helped tremendously. Google the benefits of walking backwards as an exercise, you will be as amazed as I was. I also take glucosamine and chondrolin. But the walking backwards has helped tremendously, also the apple cider vinegar ( with the mother!)

You said that the results will probably come in 4-6 months. So, I can take all this time, every day? Or even longer, if necessary?
