Great video, but please you guys should probably stop handling fire damaged rubber (and possibly plastic) components, there is a potential for them to produce hydrofluoric acid given the right constituents and conditions during the fire. There’s plenty of information out there, but this is a small snippet from a much larger article. Hydrofluoric acid. Although considered a weak acid, HF is one of the most dangerous inorganic acids known. Burns of as little as 1% body surface area (BSA), or approximately 25 sq in (about the size of the palm of your hand), have been known to be fatal due to the acid's unique properties.
