@@tommyrq180 it was not a choice. There was no time for admin to decide anything. The players told to go to the dugout. They are not in frame of the video. It was an impromptu from the crowd. They probably just stayed where they were like everyone else and stood and sang. Since no date or time mentioned if it’s the soft game from years ago the protocol was to sign the first game of the championship and not the rest. Stupid protocol. Glad the crowd took care of it and stood and sang anyway. A tech issue the announcer could have started the crowd off. I know some shy and the words can be complicated to do all on your own but an oh say can you into the microphone would have been nice. The crowd would and did take care of the rest.

I do not live in the United States, but I have a son who participated at NCAA level attending a U.S.A. University and know how important the national anthem and patriotism is to the citizens of the USA. I feel the same way about my small but great nation and consider it a privilege to sing my countries anthem with respect and dignity. Well done to those patriots in the crowd who sent a message and set an example for others to follow.

There are no laws or regulations that say you must sing the National Anthem at games, graduations etc. There are no laws that prohibit one from singing the National Anthem it’s all voluntary. Notice the ball game went on.
