What a beautiful piece of wood. I’m in my 50’s, & grew up in a world of Gibson & Fender snobs. That’s al changed now, especially since a young hotshot player took strat body, a charvel neck, a PAF pickup & a whole bag of tricks. Not only did Edward Van Halen set the bar notches higher, but he also set in motion the beginning of the end for the big 2. Now we have companies like Agile who give pro grade gear to the rest of us poor folks

I have my 6 string Ltd with EMGs at Dropped A, and it's basically a one trick pony. Have been on a steel string acoustic for the last couple of years just for standard tuning and it's getting stupid.

The most under rated guitars on the planet. Leaves Epis in the dust for less money and gives Gibson a good run for 30% of the cost. I own SIX Agile guitars. :)

Awesome review! I am thinking of finally getting a 24.75" scale guitar. After 20 years of my pride telling me my small hands could do anything Paul Gilbert can do I've gave in. I played a Les Paul recently and was amazed at how comfortable it was. I have a JPXI right now and I love it but its a beast to play.

I just received in the mail my latest from Rondo, the 2023 AL-3200MCC 2TS FRT. It's the amalgamation of the 3200MCC you got first and the 3100MCC. It has the neck thru of the 3200 but also has the Floyd of the 3100, and adds 24 jumbo frets to the mix making it a true shredder's delight combined with the Ibanez Wizard like neck. Tge combunation of the 3/4" carved maple cap on the 1-1/2" mahogany body and 5-pc maple/walnut neck with ebony fretboard, the floyd routs and the tummy cut adds up to 9 lbs 8.8 oz. which is lighter tgan I had expected. This guitar will work next to my Agile AL-3010SE which is my #1 traditional LP whilst the AL-3200MCC 2TS FRT with a pup change will be my modern metal shred machine.

I bought Dean ML Blackbolt for around same price. Pups a great, guitar is really soft (playability) and Floyd holds tune . A really good alternative and great guitar​. Cheers!

Ok, an update. I bought a SECOND new 2023 AL-3200MCC Floyd, this one with Black Flame that looks remarkably similar to yours. I should mention that the prices has gone up a bit in the 5 years from your video to now: the 2TS is 649$ and the Black Flame is 699$. Regarding the Floyd Special, you can incrementally upgrade the zinc parts to the hardened steel versions of the various parts. The zinc trem block can be upgraded to brass, steel and tungsten. I'm gonna swap in the steel saddles when the zinc ones wears out or when I have the extra cash to do so. Ditto yhe tungsten block.

Lucas Lelièvre it's for that model I think. I have an al3100mc and it is like Gibson les Paul customer's triple binding but if you look at them directly side by side you'll barely see the Gibson's is slightly lighter. It's kinda like the old south Korean epiphones color but Gibson's style except on the neck joint it's more like the epiphone at that spot too. I have epi, gibson, agile and all of those in les Paul style so I do compare all of the time. I don't have a modern epi though...

Switch the guts and pickups ($250) and you'll have a guitar comparable to a nice Gibson Les Paul traditional. Brand whores won't agree but that's a fact. You can find a 3100 lightly used for 300ish. For 550 you have a pro guitar.

Great review! I own an Agile AL in CSB with USA EMG 81/85 pickups. It also has abalone inlays in the ebony fretboard. I gave like $500 for it several years ago. I would put it quality-wise right up there with my Gibson LP Standard. There are a few very minor finish flaws (really have to look for them), but overall it's a quality piece that I've recommended to several friends. Keep up the great work Hunter.

Dude, i wish you got to experience one of Agiles 8 strings that they took down literaly right after i bought it. Imagine an 8 string with a bridge pick up, neck pick up, and single coil pick up in between. It's the best guitar ive ever owned. Hands down.

Mine are all used ,I wanted to see how they stacked up to a Gibson,I was so impressed but mine have a 13.50 fretboard radius,the 7 string has a 16,but I love em all and you can't beat the price

My first electric guitar was an Agile AL-2500 in 2003. To this day its my favorite. Kurt, the dude from Rondo Music is awesome. Great guitars and amazing customer service.

Absolutely love my Agile 3100! One recommendation though, the polyurethane finish sucks on the neck! It gets real sticky at times while playing. I had a guitar tech sand all that excess finish off the neck. Now it's a nice smooth, satin like finish and feels so much better to play!

Lewis Bulled I think its a luck thing, some just happen to be btter than others, I played a neon orange js32 and it sucked, the floyd would keep tune after dives, the nut would cut strings, and the frets were uneven, then I played the one I currently have, which is the natural wood one, and its amazing. I think there are just alot of lemons out there

Have a JS32 Rhoads that I love so much about but on my 2nd string change, the cheap locking but stripped out. So it's now going to be my sleeper guitar. Modding it with a new Floyd but and original bridge with a heavy brass block, new switchcraft switch and jack, new 500k pots, and WE humbuckers, specifically the Iron Man bridge and Godwood neck. Check them out, they're killer metal pickups.

One comment on "colors available" with the Floyd. I have an older one that's black (not flame), and there have been a number of other colors available with the Floyd. Just depends on what Kurt gets in stock. There have been two variants of the 3100 Floyd in terms of the fretboard as well. There are 24-fret versions out there. On these guitars the neck is extended, the 24th fret is where the 22nd fret is normally, and the bridge and bridge pickup are moved toward the neck pickup to preserve the same scale.

I’ve got one of the original AL2000’s. Black Les Paul shape with white binding and gold hardware including Floyd Rose Tremelo. It’s still a battle axe!… only complaint is how heavy it is. Like holding a bucket of concrete.

You have DEFINITELY turned me on to the 3100MCC With the Floyd!! At this very moment, Kurt, from Rondo/Agile and I are exchanging ideas.....primarily about the finish on the Neck. I have issues with my hands oozing Gooey, Glue Gunk on High Gloss Necks. He mentioned to me they are considering putting Satin or Matte finishes on there to make them even faster and easier to play. They also now offer the Floyd on the Lemonburst Finish as well!! He's also considering other Finishes as well...the Cherry, White and Wine Red. I let him know if he gets Floyd's, as well as the Satin/Matte Neck on these Guitars, I would be purchasing 4 of these Guitars with the money I have set aside for a 2006 Gibson Les Paul Faded!!! 4 BRAND NEW GUITARS WITH FLOYDS AND MY FAVORITE SATIN/MATTE NECK FOR LESS THAN 1 GIBSON LES PAUL WITH JUST A SATIN NECK!!! Thank you for turning me on to these!!

Rectifiers make great clean sounds. They are not really known for it. But it is there. It is not a 6505 or 5150 situation. Of course in the case of this video. That is not really a great clean sound. But a great video! Thanks Hunter!

I had a Mesa V Twin pedal that had the most awesome cleans ever. It was up there with my Fender Twin. I gave it to a friend who uses it right through a PA. I was there 2 weeks ago he was using it and the distortion tones he was getting was like "Poison Your Mamma Don't Dance". Sounded like an actual amp.

I had an Agile gold top with p-90s a couple of years ago. It's still the best guitar I've ever owned and even compared to it's Gibson counterpart, I thought it played and sounded better. I regret selling it.

I want one! It just needs a sustainer like the Burny LP copies have. I think the Agile guitars are built at the same factory that Dillion Guitars uses. I've had several Dillions over the years. Still have two of their LP copies and one strat copy. I have an Agile 12 string LP copy too. Been wanting an LP with a Floyd (and sustainer). The Agile looks nice but for around $100 less, I may try the Harley Benton model.

Agiles are the big bad buggin ass bomb! Yeah, and once or twice a year you can go to the web site and order a custom built guitar with features that you choose (from a drop down list of available options, along with finish )....so basically production line guitars made to your custom order. I think there is a $50.00 up charge for a custom and you pay half up front and half when the guitar ships. Get 'em while they're hot!

This could be a really good guitar for Rush fans on a budget since Alex Lifeson uses a Les Paul with a Floyd Rose. Since his signature guitar costs around £5000 it could be a really good shout. Add some pezio pickups and you are there. It would be cool if we could get a Rush song played on this guitar.

If I look at the guitar and here the sounds of it, the first player that comes to mind is Alex Lifeson from Rush. He got a Gibson Les Paul with a Floyd Rose as a signature. Shame that one is 5 or 6 thousand bucks.

I'd suggest a demo of the Sterling Majesty John Petrucci model. I'd love to see how it would sound compared to its more expensive older brother. I'd suggest you check out a Heritage too if you have a chance.

Plus the tone was a bit muddier (nothing wrong with that, everybody loves a bit of dirt) so that also made it sound different.

Are you sure it's a veneer on top? Most veneers look flat, this looks super cool! On the other guitar the neck is flamed as well, I don't think any company would go out of their way to veneer a neck piece, especially at that pricepoint.

Hey Agufish you should do a review on some of the Reverend guitars, they have these unique raillhammer pickups(half rail, half normal humbucker) and they have so many unique shapes they are amazing

Really cool, but if u look a sick guitar way cheaper u got the harley benton t620, it also has a floyd rose tremolo, not one of the best but it is a really sweet guitar

I should've went with this guitar instead of the LTD ec-256. Always wanted a LP shape with a Floyd.
