Your tutorials are absolutely fantastic. I think I just about have the catchy "Bugs Bunny " theme down? Just picked up the guitar 6 years ago ( now 60 y/o) and am a work in progress....but find it so enjoyable. You make it look so easy! Your occasional jazz chords give it such a unique and pleasant sound....really clever. Please keep them coming. As a side note I went to Cape Breton Nova Scotia this summer on vacation and passed through Moncton....such a beautiful area. Best to you and all your students.

Elliott, I love this song. There's nothing like a Bacharach/David tune, and these jazzy chords sound great. Your version of the Emaj7 is a bit of a reach for me, so I play it with a double barre--I barre the top four strings on the second fret and the top 3 on the fourth (so basically I just play the D string on the second fret, but it's easier for me to barre it. I use the second version of the Amaj7 that you use throughout the song. It's the way I'm used to playing it, and I like how it sounds with the A and high E open. The Emaj7 is a little less rich with the bottom two strings quiet, but it still has that jazzy feel. This might be a good compromise for those of us who lack your reach. Man, your voice sounds great on this tune. Herb Alpert was not really a singer, but Bacharach told him he thought this song was perfect for him. You sound better, though. So glad I found your channel. I'm eager to try more tutorials!

I was slogging my way through finding the progressions on this song and spotted your very handy instruction - saving a lot of time. I liked your down to earth teaching style just like when one guitarist shows another one some song's main bits - not at all patronizing - just like we're all part of this thing called music. Oh and as for Jim Webb how about By The Time I Get To Phoenix - some nice major sevenths in that?
