Welcome to The Frey Life daily vlogs! We are Peter & Mary, a married couple in our early 30's, showing the ups and downs of everyday life with #CysticFibrosis, a genetic lung disease that Mary was born with. In August 2019, Mary started a new CF medication that changed the trajectory of our future, and life has changed dramatically - including our son, Elijah, joining our family in December 2021. We also have an adorable standard poodle, Oliver, and a hairless sphynx cat, Harry. Are you guys getting tired of making videos? I know like any job. If you lose your passion for it. Sometimes it's time to move on to something else. I will miss you guys so much if you were to end your channel, but I know if it's no longer fun. It makes it had to do. I totally encourage you to continue to foster ASL and verbal speech. Even if his hearing is great, he will have such a great advantage to be able to have at least a second language. Babies pick up on languages so easy!! Hope he's feeling better! How's your new pastoral role going, Peter? Praying for your family often. May God continue to bless you three!

You probably would have enjoyed Nuttella before they altered the recipe to make it cheaper. It used to have a whole lot more hazelnuts and about 1/4 of the sugar it has today. It was more like a chocolate flavored nut butter and it was the best thing ever.

The Cacao is a raw unprocessed version of cocoa but a lot better for you. They said it contains more minerals, vitamins, & antioxidants so it's a healthier option than chocolate!! ❤

Peter had me thinking back to when you lived in your friend's basement and you'd sit on the mattress on the floor and talk about your day. I watched because I remember the simple times of being married. When our world was smaller and we had less stuff and people to take care of. When we are young we focus on When the house comes and the kids and the cars. We don't stop to cherish those small early moments when the mattress is on the floor. Simple blessings become fond and peaceful memories ✨️

Time flies, 9 years, wow. I looked at a photo I took of a tiger when we visited Dreamworld where we had a photo session with a real tiger. I looked at it last night and it suddenly hit me that I took that photo 20 years ago, absolutely mind blowing. It had been a milestone birthday which just so happens that this year is also for me.

Hi you guys, hey it’s been a long time since I’ve dropped by, glad I did. You mentioned pit bull..this is a dog I’ve never had trouble with or judged because of what others have said about them. It’s been 2 1/2 weeks now I was walking my 2 dogs in my neighborhood, where we always walk. Just behind us 2 pit bulls live with a gal who I’ve seen from time to time..anywho, I see 2 boys running I think nothing of it till I see one of the boys literally jumping a fence and behind him jumps a pit bull after him, the other chasing the other boy. When the boy jumped back over the fence running for his life the 2 pit bulls saw myself and my 2 dogs, they ran to us and they ferociously attacked my 2 dogs. I screamed, prayed and screamed my prayers…all the neighbors came out trying to help us. They were both attacking both my dogs at the same time one after the other shaking my Zoey like a rag doll. Never in my life had I been more scared. By the grace of God my babies are alive, myself included! I’ve been afraid to walk my dogs since. When I say God saved my dogs, I mean it..he sent their angels to protect them because they should not be here! Even the police office, the neighbors said it’s crazy they are alive. When I say this it sounds crazy but when it was over, dogs gone there was not a scratch on my babies…So I know God was there with us! My Zoey while she was being attacked was protecting me at the same time, SkyBlue went into shock. Anyway, my reason for sending this message is even though you think the dogs are friendly and safe, keep your baby away! Let me mention, this makes the 3 time in 3 months we have been approached by pits, the second time there was a fight where the other dogs went after me and my dogs. I have a Golden Re, and a Golden/Shepherd mix. I hope I don’t offend you or anyone…I just felt the need to tell you. Take care now, hope that beautiful baby boy of yours gets well soon!

It has very little to do with the dogs themselves and more to do with how they’re raised and if inbreeding is involved.

@@nleb1993 i understand all that, I totally get it. The 2 that attacked us were dogs that had never done this before..they even knew the boys they chased. It took one to make a fuss, the both got involved. I worked in a vet office for many yrs when younger..sometimes it just happens even if you think it never would. We can’t read a dogs mind, and that day they weren’t nice! In the end, a dog is a dog..you can teach them from the beginning of that dogs bloodline, sometimes it matters not.

Does Elijah speak any words by signing can that delay his speech.when my son was little he would point at what he wanted instead of verbalized his needs which caused a delay in his speech.

Signing does not cause speech delay. It is a great way to communicate. As a speech language pathologist I always encourage sign language. Signing is it’s own language showing comprehension, requesting needs/wants, etc..He is 16 months & has one word utterances which is right on track. Obviously I don’t know your entire story, but there’s a huge difference between just pointing to things & using sign which is a true all encompassing language. Pointing is a symptom that a child is experiencing difficulties with speech &/or language, but doesn’t cause it. Hopefully your little one is doing great now! I only took the time to reply to educate cause it’s a common misconception.

Cacao (ca-kay-o) is basically cocoa that is less "processed" which usually gives it a better, deeper chocolate flavor. We love cacao more than cocoa!

Just a thought.. Wonderful that Elijah can sign, and learning so many things. But not sure about the camera pointed at him lately. Kids can take over the situation, with a camera in hand. Last week I watched Elijah run to the road , while you spoke to the camera. Life is tough, no one shows us much about parenting. Because WE ALL LEARN from our mistakes. hey I have CF just got my G tube taking out a week ago and I still not seeing any changes does anybody have information for me that had there G tube taken out. internet says 2-3 weeks my doctor said in 3 to 5 days it should Close completely.

It's hard to explain how to pronounce sjokonøtt, when english is not my native language. As some have suggested the beginning, sjoko, might sound same as shoco in english. The later part of the word, nøtt, have the ø -letter that the english alphabet doesn't have. If you are familiar with german o-umlaut (ö), the ø in nøtt is pronounced the same way. Right now I can't come up with any english words with this sound. Maybe the o-sound in the word word.

It’s unfortunate that your channel has gone this route of you always putting him on. So many channels like yours have been able to keep their child off the channel and never even showing their child’s face. They will post family pictures but it’s always a classy picture with the child’s face not shown or in focus on the face. This specific video is a perfect way to share your life as parents but without ever having him on camera. This other channel I’m thinking of is also a chronic illness channel. I’ve almost completely stopped watching this channel I’ve unsubscribed ever since it was clear you planned to show him all the time, and I just watch videos that he isn’t in or barley in. I wish more people realized this is child exploitation, which is very clear since the moment you shared your plans to adopt you’ve profited off him, even down to when asking for donations for the helping in adoption fees. It’s also been hard watching how you’ve gone from being careful of illness and Covid too seemingly act like it’s not a risk. I completely understand how Trikafta has improved Mary’s health and lung function but she still has CF and anything can take all this progress away especially if you get a virus like Covid. I don’t have CF but I have severe lung disease with 32% lung function and my health isn’t as stable as it once was. So I’m in a similarly lived experience and it saddens me how the stability has made you guys almost forget what it was like and what it could be like again. I dearly hope Mary stays stable for the rest of her life but we all know the risk of losing all this progress!
