Good for Laine. I’m a Rangers fan but love to see Laine enjoying hockey again. Can’t imagine anything gets the juices flowing quite like the Bell Centre at full tilt. The Habs and Laine both need this 👍🏻

S.Loius not trying to make him a hitting power forward not trying to make him a center. Just letting him to be the pure goal scorer he has always been. Love yo see it.

So far its only been muscle memory and pure talent just wait few months and he'll be a beast 5on5 too. I'd like to see him on 1st line with Suzuki and Caufield some day

It makes me incredibly happy to see a guy who was losing interest quick in the game, find a center like Montreal that treats him like gold and where he is rewarded so highly by the fans.

It's so nice to have something to cheer about, Ive been a Habs fan for 45 years, and we haven't had a lot to cheer about lately. It does seem like we r on the right path finally, Hutson has been really good, and Laine has scored almost every game. Caufield had a super hot start, and Suzuki as always is "mr consistent", we need more guys like that! Heineman and Evans have both been playing very well, yet they have Newhook and Dach playing the top lines. They r the 2 biggest concerns going forward (in my opinion), i thought it would be Gallagher or Armia id be worried about, but they have played relatively well. Not Dach, Dvorak, or Newhook, they need to go, the sooner the better, them with Barron, and a couple picks, we should be able to get SOMEONE decent. Anyway it's just nice to have someone who can put the puck in the net again, it's been WAY too long, Laine's shot is crazy fast! I wish we'd use Xhekaj's slapshot on the powerplay too, he has a 115 mph slapshot, and it's fairly accurate, but they never use it, he takes more wrist shots then Slap shots, they should be telling him to use that slap shot more. If nothing else, when a defender goes down to block a shot, oblige him! lol, Send a 115 mph slapper into the side of his leg! lol. Go Habs Go!!! Why is Pez benched the whole season? So we can have room for Dach, Newhook and Dvorak? I know they want to trade maybe all three i just mentioned, and they r hoping they play well, so we get more, but when do u say ok they arent going to play better? lol.

Don't know how his knee actually is, so him just standing there an letting it rip might just be the beginning. We'll see. Right now, he's making a difference.

Lets not forget dude is only 26 still on his prime so he can become 40 goal scorer again maybe more coming seasons. He is on new team and haven't played for long time. 5on5 goals will come and he actually have had good shots but no goal yet. He is on his best when the team lets him be on his preferred pp spot and he has shown why so i think he is gonna be okay

Stick the poor guy with 2 of the worst players on the team. He still doesnt seem to be skating like normal yet, hopefully that part of his game comes soon, then we will have the total package!!! He has been killin it tho, that shot!!! Love it!

Provided the important guys can stay healthy for once, I don’t think the Habs will be picking anywhere near 5th overall. Primeau is dogshit and they need to find a solution there, but otherwise, this is a team I could see playing .550, maybe even .575 (points percentage) hockey for the rest of the year. That would put them in the 83-86 points range, which would probably place them 9th-11th in the east and 20th-23rd in the league. With the arrival of Demidov next year and a little more experience on the backend (in addition to an acquisition on D, whether it be via trade or FA) I can see this team fighting for a wildcard spot next season.

Look I'm glad for Laine, but this is getting blown out of proportion. He got the hat-trick scoring only on the pp, and against a team that hadn't won in 10 games, now 11. Simmer down a bit a let this develop properly.
