I usually use the P16 heavily in this region but it does take a long time to winch through some spots. I'm just playing how I normally play.

One year anniversary . Yay! That makes me an early adopter. But as for your comment on "rough, fat-finger editing", no, I disagree. It was exactly your calm and studied approach that got me hooked on the game. (Damn you!) But thanks, Great channel. And congrats on a full year.

Congrats on the first year! I'm about to start a new save on hard mode just because I need to give it a shot, and I'm going to be following your guide from the start, while playing through the regular mode save with each new video you release. I'm only a third through this video so far, and holy mackerel that hill up to Stevenson's house is tough. Killing my fuel and tipping over my trailer. I've had to put it down and come back a couple times, lol. The challenge is still fun, I just gotta take breaks!
@zorshix
@zorshix 6 күн бұрын
Thanks! That hill is tough, still there isn't much else for options to get there. Taking breaks is always a good thing when facing frustration with this game.

Excellent! Congrats on 1 year of KZbin, and on the seemingly very steady channel growth these last 6-9 months! It's weird to me to think that yer early videos aren't bad. Like, at all! Because they might be kinda fat finger-ish, but I definitely didn't notice! Lol! Maybe cuz I was truly new to the game back around Thanksgiving last year, and all I was craving was solid advice, tips, and route planning! Which you have always provided! This was a super helpful and well thought out episode! I wish there was a winch option or mod that allowed the game to show only "viable" winch points. Like ones that could at very least simply hold the truck and load. Cuz I'm getting better at the quick winch on the controller... But my buddy has a sim rig I borrowed... and not having to mouse or d pad for a winch point would be super epic in some instances! Hahaha! I have fuel trailers all over the place on this map. Well, most of the region now! Lol! I need to remember to switch out of AWD more often! The short cut through the back of the wood framing house is the first of two incredibly clutch maneuvers for me! Probably saved me at least the literal 3 or 4 gallons I had left after that run! My regular save took me forever to climb through that mud loaded down and still with some less than desirable tires! Speaking of grills and barriades... Those WOOD street blockers must be made of concrete, and rebar. Cuz it'll total yer truck! Hahahahaha! And the second clutch move was that forklift helper giddy-up! EMM-EHZING! Sweet action! Overall a great episode, that again felt like we got a huge amount of work done in a very reasonable amount of game play! The music was also perfect! It really does play a role in the tone and mood of the video! And having less stress, and angst built up, with a nice, set of tunes helps out! Lots! Lol! Thanks again for takin us along! Can't wait for the last logging contract in the next one!
@zorshix

It's definitely worth having fuel trailers planted around to keep you from getting into trouble out here. A few shortcuts can save you so much fuel trying to get around this region, it's definitely worth finding them. I'm glad you showed up when you did throughout this journey, you've been a great friend and supporter of everything. Truly an inspiration to stay the course knowing there's people like you who have my back. Thank you

@@zorshix Oh, dude! I really appreciate that! And there are plenty of us that have yer back 100%! We're just super glad you can help us along, and show it's possible to do as vanilla as it gets! I never thought that was possible! Lol! The feelings and friendship are reciprocal! We the viewers are inspired to play the game because YOU are doing so much work to show us the way! Literally, without you doing yer thing, I would have left it alone. I'm glad I didn't! It's captured me like no other! Lol! Ive driven more than a couple thousand hours in American Truck Sim, and the mod trucks, and fleet customization were the only real things keeping me going! I had driven every single available road end to end and couldn't really expand my garages or driver/vehicle number. Then I found the WAY! Lol! Really! My son and I can't thank you enough! You keep us going, and we will all keep you going! No rush, no pressure, just good times! Thanks again dude! 💜👊🦾

I tend to run the P12 with tge JAT all terrain tyres. Since they have less grip they can slip a little bit and that really helps when powering out on hills!
@zorshix
@zorshix 7 күн бұрын
I do too, in fact I was planning to switch to them soon. It makes a huge difference in the performance. I gotta admit I was hesitant to use them for this because of the lack of offroad grip on the rocks in the river. They might have worked alright for it though.

Interesting about the special gearbox's and fuel consumption, thought it was just more efficient than balanced, and you should see a difference between say the Voron AE that doesn't have it and the Voron D that does. Looking forward to the next episode, one of those long log deliveries caused me some drama.

I think I know the one, it's a real pain to get to the drop-off zone. Looking forward to it myself. The gearboxes can make all the difference in this game for sure.

Alright, here I go again with the backseat driver tips.. did you know, you can connect your winch yo a different tree without releasing the one you're already hooked to? As an added note thanks for making this series, I've been enjoying it thus far, and after taymyr not everything is so straight forward and cookie cutter.
@zorshix
@zorshix 7 күн бұрын
I don't mind your backseat driving, it brings up good points. 👍 I did know that and I usually do it but I was having issues reaching the trees on that dang hill. I suppose part of it is the pressure of knowing my actions are being recorded and it gets a little frantic at times trying to do everything right. But that's how SnowRunner is, you can do it right 100 times and that time when it matters everything goes wrong 😅
