+CrispTugBoat But i have to defend him sometimes. The Souls games are poorly made. Hands down. From bad ports, to a non existing chat option on the PC, to FPS drops of death and bad hit detection. The Camera gets easily stuck when fighting big bosses, and they almost didnt changed anything between DS1-3 besides the graphics. Most items, sounds and descriptions were literally ripped out of DS1 and kept for DS3 without any thought on changing these, while not even being innovative, because Myazaki took inspiration by Castlevania Games. Not to forget that many enemys DO hit you through walls, and not even trying to start on ''multiplayer'' with non existent servers, lags like hell and stunlocks. That doesnt change the fact that Phil complains about bullshit though.

@@TheRockLobsterMafia The game has an 8 directional movement restriction to prevent you from moving a fluid 360 motion with the left analog stick which would be found in Dark Souls 1, 3, Bloodborne and Demon's Souls... Or basically any video game that was released after the Playstation 1 since the invention of the analog. It uses snap points, basically. Where the character will ONLY turn within a certain amount of degrees being tilted by the left analog stick. AKA 8 directional movement instead of analog movement. This makes movement clumsier, inaccurate and will more often than not result to your death when doing simple platforming. This is one of many broken *fundamental* aspects of Dark Souls 2.
@TheRockLobsterMafia4 жыл бұрын
@@charlie1234500 thank you so much for your explanation. That is absolutely ridiculous for the control scheme to be like that, and like you said I haven't experienced anything like that since ps1 games. I wonder what caused DS2 to be such a train wreck despite both its predecessors being amazing.

@@TheRockLobsterMafia Dark Souls 2 was made by a completely different development team. Different director, different designer, different everybody. The people who made Dark Souls 1 were busy making Bloodborne instead, during Dark Souls 2 development. And Dark Souls 2 was, unfortunately like Dark Souls 1, rushed to be made quickly. And even quicker than Dark Souls 1. The game has a plethora of game bugs still found in what would be described as the "Director's Cut" version of the game, which I would say is also inferior to even the original Dark Souls 2. It's really frustrating playing with those kind of people. Them playing Dark Souls has nothing to do with it because they make mistakes that would leave them worse off in any game. Not only that, but they have to stare at the controller every time they do something like they've never used it before.

@AHeckman1188 жыл бұрын
It actually happened to me a bunch when I was first starting out, but my problem was the exact reverse. Where Phil would pull the rats and back off into the corner, I'd run into the corridor and challenge them. Sometimes that got me chain-stunned all the way off the cliff, namely when I whiffed moves. That doesn't happen anymore, since I have a brain and am able to learn, but it did happen once upon a time.
@ZeroCruz_8 жыл бұрын
No your problem was you where too overzealous which is how from designed it i think. You fail and you learn that is fine. You get better at times hell befor i could not beat the Nameless King alone now i had almost no trouble because i got better. His problem is he tries to cheese it in every possible way. People whould not complaine if he whould not blame the game, the guys who made it, says its a bad game if it is obviouse not, make fun of game mechanics and many more things thats why comments like mine come to life because he never learns and never pays any attention. Not to be funny now but i think he is a really bad ''Gamer'' he is not a Gamer in my eyes which whould not be a problem but he is not funny he is sexist and racist and many more. It is good you want to defend him you are a awesome person for that and better then i am because i could not defend that.

I see a lotta people telling Phil to go to games like CoD, GTA, Dragon's Dogma and Skyrim instead of play Dark Souls during this playthrough and in all honesty...there's video evidence of him being bad at all of them too. I don't think it's fair to blame them for how crappy he plays here, they're victims of the same player incompetence as seen here. They're not terrible games either. So don't damn them to Phil's playstyle and lack of skill, no game deserves that...except maybe Ride to Hell: Retribution.
@CrashJC1238 жыл бұрын
Heh, Ride To Hell, what a game
@Xxandrew018 жыл бұрын
+Gakusangi Yeah. DSP sucks ass at Dragons Dogma. Just look at "This is how you don't play Dragons Dogma" he is fucking terrible at that game. And in some parts, he compares the challenge on Dragons Dogma to fucking Dark Souls. He is a shit gamer man and he can't play no game right.

Kev That's been bouncing around for a while, regardless of it being an "act" or not, it's unwise to treat your fanbase like he does and while I could forgive him for just being a bad player, or just laugh at him being a sore loser, his treatment of his subscribers and supporters has been appalling and a bit doesn't make that okay.

"If you were a real knight, you wouldn't do a massive swing right near the ledge" is a fascination observation to me. It's like he's commenting on a movie, but it's a game. In this context, he IS the knight he's talking about. He could choose not to do a massive swing right near the ledge, yet he's still chosen to do so "like 700 times" (in his own words).
