Yeah. I’ve been in a similar situation. I’m in my 40s. Gf is mid 20s. She’s a business owner, self employed college grad. She’s an adult. She followed me around a bar for a few days. I was there for the live music and not the drinks so much. We have allot in common. Mostly outdoor hobbies, music, art, etc etc etc. People acted like I was some kind of predator and that it was creepy. I was really offended by this at first but now I don’t care what people think. She still does but she’s getting over the need to care what people think. Group opinions and ideas can sometimes take over a persons life. People want more to fit in then to be theirselves and do what they want with their life. Oh yeah, and I also look allot younger then I am. Woman my age either already have kids or they have no interest in being physically active. If they travel they want to sit around and eat all week stare at the ocean. I’ve dated older woman too. 6 years older was the one before this. Her baby daddy and child situation made things almost impossible and I realized I don’t want to date anyone with kids again.

It used to be the case, 100 years ago, where I guess 30-year-old guys or older would marry 13-year-old girls. I just read “The Man Who Knew Infinity” and Ramanujan was married to a really young girl when he was in his early 20s although they didn’t live together until much later. I’m ambivalent on the subject. I can see both sides. But both Bill and his girlfriend are adults so they have a right to do what they want, as long as it’s legal.

A number of years ago, I had a very beautiful woman ask me out. She was 27 years younger than me. "But what in the world could you talk about? You have nothing in common." Guess what? We had a lot of things to talk about. Philosophy. Sports. Politics. Popular culture. Business. Life. Cooking and food. And a bunch of other things. It's one of the reason I found her so attractive.
