As a Pastor, it is important to have capable and grounded mentors. I recall that one of my former mentors taught me something extremely valuable. "you have to be responsible, you have the power to build or damage souls. Make sure that your studies and sermons are well researched".....This person has access to the world therefore he should be RESPONSIBLE for what comes out of his mouth. You are not just deceiving your close ones, you are being heard by millions. Instead of attacking those who confronted him on his error, just apologize to God and to those that you purposely or not provided wrong information to, admit that you were wrong. His actions just shows his level of pride and thirst to remain relevant.

Billy isn't motivated by what a good man might be motivated. Billy's actions, arrogance, and disrespect show his true demonic nature. But only God knows the heart of a man. Still, there's no way out of this for Billy that doesn't involve either complete contrition or complete exposure to the benefit of every last Christian he led astray; plus enough residual humiliation to make him an example to all those who think they can play games with peoples' souls.

I've got a personal experience for ya! I was a big billy carson fan about two years ago. I actually did believe basically everything he claimed, and I never did my own research to double check his claims. One day I came across Inspiring Philosophy (Michael Jones) doing a youtube short debunking one of Billy Carson's claims about the emerald tablets. I didn't believe IP at first and kinda got angered tbh lol. However, I looked up what IP was saying... And it was actually the truth! I remember it was about how there was absolutely no evidence for the tablets ever being found or existing at all. Maurice Doreal made the whole thing up. Long story short; this inevitably led me down a path where I started reading the bible and now I'm born again as a Christian, I have been baptized, and I have fully accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour 🙏 I'm very grateful to IP for helping me find the truth and get away from Billy's lies. Im very glad he's finally being exposed for being the grifter/scammer that he truly is 🙏

Here is the thing, I am a Christian, but I almost lost my way due to following these new age teachings and occult knowledge. I know for a fact that these new age, occult and ‘ mystery’ teachings are all just one big deception. They use “ ancient texts”, science like quantum physics, neuroscience and other to draw people away from Christ. I am very happy that people like Wes exists who can do what I cannot do. It is so refreshing and a relief to see a Christian who studies these things and has the ability to communicate it so well and professionally like Wes. I thought the same thing about his eyes but I know I've looked in the mirror and seen the same in my own eyes, at a time when I was deeply depressed and hurt by Christian's. I was still a believer and alive in Christ, but I wouldn't have called myself a Christian, it took 10 years for God to heal those wounds of bring me back to the church. I'm assuming Carson holds exclusive rights, so if he doesn't, adjust accordingly. Wes probably agreed to some terms not very favorable to him because it was a rare chance to have a debate. Copyright is not about getting the truth out, rather the opposite: you're supposed to have control over the publication of your copyrighted material. The fact that it's a public debate doesn't change much, I think it's treated like any talking heads show. The fact that Carson looks incompetent works partially in his favor, since he can show damages in lost subscribers. Now, in fair use analysis, his being incompetent is relevant to the public interest, so there it works against him. As does the fact that reactions to the debate are transformative, these are done for critique, etc. But it's really hard to win fair use when you copy very large portions of a work, regardless of other factors. And this is a real problem with copyright: Carson can game the system by simultaneously shutting down anyone showing long clips *and* telling his audience that short clips take him out of context. So, yes, he can sue and probably win against people posting the whole debate or very long clips. Of course, none of this changes the fact that, regardless of the law, it's already out there and he's making a bad situation worse.

I am soooooo glad he finally got a valuable lesson learned. I remember being arrogant like him about my pseudo knowledge, I was hanging with all the big pseudo scholars thinking I knew something until I sat with real scholars, people who dedicated their lives to a particular field and realized my knowledge was not only insufficient, but I was taking information from people and places that had no academic standing. I am not a Christian, but I can respect those who truly are and who are committed to a path of righteousness. It’s been a long journey for me in developing my intellect and going through the proper academic channels but it has been really rewarding. I think Billy has potential to truly learn if he is willing to set aside his ego. The pursuit starts with knowledge and ultimately ends with God’s Love.
