the point of HR armor is that they carry a way bigger ammount of skills and deco slots that allows you to create a build to properly enhance ur weapon increasing damage or survivability and in some cases (like the longsword) enhance the weapon moveset, all this for what u may ask, well the answer is simple the more endgame bosses tend be a lot harder even tho base rise has an issue with difficulty (its too ez) there are a couple of quests that will put up an actual challenge emergency apex monsters (this are a diffrent version of apex monsters) are all hard particularly zinogre in my opinion and the hardest of them all "Advanced: Crimson calamity" which will have you facing an enhanced version of valstrax on a brand new map, you should give those a try they are under the event quest category and dont require a high HR to do

also the story isnt over till you fight the final boss at HR 50 and even after that there is 1 more monster at 100 but techically speaking he isnt part of the game main storyline

You beat the tutorial, not the game. High Rank in the hub scales all of the monsters up with new moves in addition to certain monsters that can only be fought in High Rank.

Fellow Rise enjoyer. As someone who played FU back in the day, Rise's combat is my second favorite combat in video games after Sekiro. Could never get into World or GU, especially after playing Sunbreak.

Was a great experience excited to see what world's has to offer. Might try the dlc for rise too

If you want actual challenge, you'll want to go for world. Rise is loaded with safety nets and reactionary combat mechanics. This means that its insanely bloated healthpools cause the game to burn you out pretty quickly. Also, you could have started with any weapon, not just longsword.

I went for long sword as I searched best class that that was it :D I tried the others but it's parry skill was just very OP

@@JAKofALL It's not the best weapon, but it is very good. Although, pretty much every weapon ends up with some kind of counter attack in Rise. It makes the game very easy.

I've heard but rise is on game pass. If there was the opinion to pick either for free I would of tried world instead first

Rise isn't terrible or anything it just differs in ways that alot of people (me included) that changed the core of the gameplay

That and they made hunting horn way WAY less fun by taking out the combo system notes and performances so my main weapon is way less fun in rise
