Superb modeling. It really captures the feel of a time long since past.

There's more information about the layout, and the making of the lever frames on my website here and on the following pages: www.lbscrmodels.co.uk/pg1.html

Hi Barry, A Wonderful layout indeed, like yourself I’m a great fan of LBSCR. It’s always been the sheer style of the Brighton, Stroudley started it and two questions arise if he hadn’t had died so early, what would have come in the 1890’s. Also if David Jones had come from Inverness to Brighton, one wonders ? Do you exhibit your layout ? Regards Len Wood, Tenterden, Kent.

Hi Len, thank you for your kind comments. The layout is designed for exhibition, but alas hasn't seen the light of day since our last show at the Bluebell in 2019, because of covid. It is scheduled for a visit to Expo EM May 2022. Our other layout 'Pulborough' had an outing at the Bluebell at the end of July. You can read more about Plumpton Green here: www.lbscrmodels.co.uk/pg1.html

Is this a club layout or all your own work? Either way truly excellent work. Apart from the interlocking,I particularly like the people, they always seem (to me)to be what lets a layout down

Thank you for your kind comments. It was built by myself and my son, starting in 2012. Some of the stock and locos are rather older, having been built from 1980 onwards.

Absolutely wonderful - how did you translate a locking table (i.e. lever 1 reversed locks 2 on, etc.) into the mechanical interlocking, please?
@barryluck16254 жыл бұрын
An interesting question, and would require a very lengthy response! The two most useful documents are the IRSE volumes 2 and 3 which explain mechanical interlocking in detail, and then there is Jeff Geary's book 'Trax 3 Signalling and lever frames. This includes a CD with the trax software so that you can simulate your interlocking before you build it. If you can let me have an email address I will send you copies of the IRSE booklets. Barry

@@barryluck1625 Thank you Barry - I've ordered the book and am trying to figure out some signalling and interlocking for my own layout - gosh, it's not easy!
