Great to see you two. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. All in favor of reigniting the passion raise your hands. ✋I believe female deckhands frolicking in their bed cloths are called wenchs, although I've never had this experience personally. She looked very lovely. You two are great fun to watch. I hope the number of subscribers finally increase. Stay safe. ❤🙏

Hey Steve, as always thanks for your thoughtful comment. It’s awesome to hear from you how significant the change in our relating is after a short time apart. We definitely felt it and noticed whilst editing this video. Sometimes we call Sonya a wench but I haven’t been brave enough to refer to my dear Phoebe as one 😆 Yes subs are helpful but we would just love more people to get to watch the videos, seems the channel hasn’t been reaching as many at the moment. So glad to have our day oners like yourself though ❤️ Cheers, Josh

Great teamwork again from the best of Australian Cruisers. Well done. I personally believe little Princesses should be in bed in the dark hours but you certainly held your end up during the night. Bravo. Great to see you still learning stuff, even tho I think you are quite good as you are. No shame at all in getting things wrong and it's better than just learning by ear. Sail on you guys and we look forward to another great episode of your wonderful lives.

The introduction was unusually good. In fact it was excellent. Long before you werey born, J D. Sleightholm was editor of the UK magazine Yachting Monthly. He wrote an interesting article suggesting that all sailors should spend more time “playing” with their boats. Choose a day of easy conditions and just go out there and play. Practice heaving to; tacking; gybing, try throwing a fender over the side and recovering it under sail. Set the boat up hard on the wind, Put on a blindfold and try to hold the course by feeling the wind on you face. It’s a great way to learn and build confidence!

Don't put yourselves down, you're both doing great at sailing, 1 season and you've both learned so much. Now with over 20k subs maybe you can hit up a battery company to sponsor you with a LiFePo4 house bank and maybe some other goodies to make life more comfortable on board (like some extra solar and a water maker)
@Thenewkidsonthedock2 ай бұрын
Hey Dave thanks for the reassurance, it’s crazy to think how far we have come in just our first season being completely green at the beginning! That would be a bit of a dream to be honest! Do put us in contact with any recommendations 😆 Cheers mate! Josh

Great video, Phoebe you have the soul of a poet, your thoughts on life are beautifully expressed. Btw On Navionics there is a little arrow symbol. If you tap that it will set the map as “course up” which means you won’t have to hold the phone upside down.

Hello my friend thank you for the kind words I couldn’t agree more with your thoughts on Phoebe. She writes some incredible poetry! I’m sitting aboard Innerbloom on night passage right now and just implemented that alteration on Navionics. So great! Thank you 😁 Josh

Hey guys, don’t be disappointed with 2.5 or 3 knots under sail. The time spent sailing instead of motorsailing is well worth it. At night, you might be more comfortable under sail and hand steering instead of using that noisy autopilot which necessitates running your diesel. You’ll get in a groove and the experience will be much more “chill” without the prop pushing you through the waves and the sails constantly luffing because of the unnatural motion. Just a thought. You’re doing great and your progress is excellent.
@Thenewkidsonthedock2 ай бұрын
Hey Jonathan thanks for the comment as always! After hand steering all season, Ballina to Dunk Island and now back I’m pretty glad to take a break and let our very unreliable and almost useless autopilot do some work 😆 unfortunately this means running the motor but I’ll gladly pay that price occasionally. Cheers mate! Josh

Dont go scribbing on those legs Phobe. Yous give some good sailing info. I would have thought water in the bow would be good so-as not to get thrown up by the waves, which means yous are saying it comes crashing down. My uncle says you want as much weight {move chain also} so its in the center. I was doing a boat project but changed it then changed again but have had to abandon it completely. If again - Id go for a sub to avoid sea sickness. I like yr moto of cruising and taking yr time, thats the same idea I had - and was going to have my lathe on board so you can repair anything.

I know those night time tacks at sea well- it can get very confusing. Last year we did a complete 180 with a wind change and it took looking at the chart plotter to realise we were sailing back to where we started... Phil
