It has always amazed me how much hate TGTB gets from certain people. Jenny literally GIVES AWAY so much high quality curriculum and books. She has established a company that also functions as a ministry to others, which is extremely hard to do. Don’t like it, doesn’t work for your family, cool, move on. But some people literally HATE them and want everyone to know about it. I’ll never understand it.

It also saddens me that this whole cancel culture, bandwagon, cult think has poisoned the homeschooling community. I can understand why Erika is upset, yet there is a time to be quiet and listen, I feel some things could have been looked into on a personal level. There is a huge push by the devil to divide us all from our brothers and sisters. At times like this we have to silently call on the Lord for guidance. I think we all have good intentions at the core but there has been inserted into our minds a hyper sensitivity due to preconceived judgements. I am not interested in buying the constitution curriculum from TGTB yet I still do use them for many other subjects, my reasoning has nothing to do with cancel culture and more to do with where I am in my schooling of my children. There is really no reason to sensationalize and come after anyone for a curriculum when we all have the choice and freedom to pick what we want to promote through love.

It's been hard for me over the past few years seeing so many people in the "Christian" homeschool community criticize TGTB and my faith and say we aren't Christians. Because I'm a Latter-day Saint, sometimes it feels like I don't fit in with the secular homeschoolers but I also don't fit in with the Christians either. And it's sad that the secular homeschoolers I've met are actually more accepting of my beliefs and how we choose to raise our children.

I’m so sorry that you’ve had people treat you this way. I have also had people ask me about TG&TB history courses because they had heard certain things about it. I hadn’t seen your video about the new course but what I love about TG&TB history is the reference and inclusion of original source documents. I don’t have to speculate about Thomas Jefferson’s motives, or be told about it from a historian’s opinion, I can read from his own writings what he thought and did. The high school student explorers (especially 10th-12th) are really good for seeking out truth from original source documents. I also love that you stand up for truth. ❤️

I’ve loosely followed you about a year. There’s another KZbinr who I’ve followed much more closely for a much longer time. I would have described them as my favorite leading up to this point. With that being said, the conduct that has been shown by this person had led to my unfollowing them. They allowed their hateful ways to shine through. They claim they aren’t hateful because the words are said with a smile but it was hard to miss the intent of their message. It became pretty clear their behavior wasn’t something I wanted in my home any longer. I believe the attention that came with a few viral mean hearted clips encouraged them to continue pushing out similar content because it was more popular than what they were posting before. I think the saddest part for me is when this person was struggling with the online hate only months ago, she mentioned how much you helped her get past it. That’s what actually led to me subscribing to your page in the first place. I just pray that Christ will soften her heart and open her eyes to the seeds of hate she is sewing.

I have watched Ashlee off and on for years also. I never stopped for a particular reason, just changing my youtube accounts for different reasons her channel got lost in all of it. I’m still not 100% sure what people were upset about in the curriculum. There weren’t a lot of specifics being mentioned that I saw. One person I follow did offer to private message discuss if anyone wanted and she gave me one example but it seemed to not be anything to get too upset about. It felt to me like the timing of the curriculum and like a straw that broke the camel’s bank situation for some people. I tried to follow to see what exactly people were upset about. I don’t want to use a curriculum that is what they were saying it was. But I want to decide for myself. All that being said if I do or don’t use it had nothing to do with you or your channel. I’m not going to stop following you, or be inappropriate etc because of your support for the curriculum. As it is I’m not a huge fan of most of that curriculum for other reasons, but that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy your videos. I wish people would start to realize you don’t have to 100% agree with someone to like them or follow them etc. You can take the things you like and leave the things you don’t. I think you made a wise decision not to engage.

Oh my goodness, I loved and appreciated this so much. The world is so filled with hate and intolerance for other ways of being and thinking that it's unbelievable. This causes so many to cave to the pressure and bullying. I'm very impressed and inspired by how you handled this Ashlee!! Thank you. Ashley, I just want to say I've followed this whole thing from the beginning and your non engagement has let them just make a fool of themselves and shown your maturity in the matter. The other party is definitely being loud but they aren't saying a whole lot that makes sense and it really just feels click baity and divisive for the sake of it. And if you read the comments, the people dont even hold their own beliefs they are just saying "what else are we canceling? What else shliuldnt we use." Thank you for your videos and for your maturity through this whole thing, it really cut the noise in half and let people throw their own tantrums without giving it more attention.

This is an old video, but I love this! We are a non religious household, but chose to use the Good and Beautiful Constitution course. We are very happy with it! We may be a secular family, but we are very conservative...somewhat of a unicorn. Lol. But I really enjoy the perspective of the constitution course.
