I'm still using the PW1, the main selling points for me are the small size and the rounded design. It looks like a watch and not a fallout pipboy like the massive apple watches. Also XL is a good name in my opinion, unless the large watch does have a faster processor or more memory or some other feature that warrants naming it the super duper extra turbo ultra pro max.

I'm with you on "It looks like a watch and not a fallout pipboy". I also prefer this simple & elegant look vs the Galaxy Watch. The GW looks like a cheap digital watch from early 2000 to me. IMO Google needs to keep their current charger & band. Wireless charging is so inefficient and nothing beats wired charging when it comes to maximum charging speed. If the PW3XL gives 48h or a full day while listening to music & using the watch a lot I'll likely buy it.

The XL in sapphire with 10 ATM water resistance would be a killer. I want to be able to dive into the water and not worry about water resistance due to flux and pressure. BTW 9to5, since you asked rectangular is a non starter for me. This is a great looking design that will benefit from narrower bezel.

While the round pixel watch looks ok , round is not really space efficient if you want more room inside the watch , like bigger batteries for example , not to mention having the extra screen realestate allows for more information on the display, and or bigger text for those of us with less good eyes.

Been running Amazfit for years. Just bought a Pixel 8 pro and figured I should look at a pixel watch. As soon as I saw report of pixel 3 XL, new I'd be waiting. I prefer a larger watch face and would like to see increased battery life. My current watch runs about 2 weeks on one charge. Going down to 1 day seems like it would be frustrating.

I'm actually pretty happy with the size of the PW2. Once you chuck a case on it for protection it ends up being a pretty decent size, for me at least. I will be keeping my PW2 though, it's a fantastic watch through and through.

Google Pixel watch 3 is said to reduce its bezel from 5.5 on pixel watch 2 and on Google Pixel watch 3 the bezel is 4.5 this still incredible thick when you compare it to Galaxy watch 6 and 7 which has smaller bezels than the Pixel watch 3 at 4.5 mm, as well as the 40mm watch having larger area for data. -- Google -- needs to understand that they should reduce the bezels even further to match Samsung Galaxy watch 6 and 7 and as well to match Apple watch 9!!

Weirdly I think the round shape is making up for how small the pixel watch is. I’ve been using a gen 1 pixel watch that I got dirt cheap alongside my ultra 2 but I haven’t had any issues with the pixel feeling small. But if the pixel was a square like the ultra, it probably will feel a lot smaller just like how the 40mm Apple Watch feels tiny to me.

The bezels on the last watch are ridiculous. In 2024 from a company like google they should be straight in with hardly any bezel. I like to change from android to iOS and back again so that I’m never tied in. I almost ordered the pixel 8 pro as the deal came with the watch. But there was no way I was changing my Apple watch to that pixel watch.

As much as I hate proprietary cable, wireless charging is inefficient. It's slower & uses more power since it's wasting energy. And USB C is too big for a watch like this IMO. Also 99% of USB cables you get with a device are as fast or barely faster than the device. Charging speed & wattage is increased each year and it only takes a few generations before the cable becomes waste.

Style wise I much prefer a rounded, pebble shape. I'm pretty sure the pixel watch is the most comfortable between it, Samsung & Apple. IMO the only downside of a rounded smart watch is if you want to read big text like an email. At best I read the one time password on my email or glance at the title.

The Pixel watches are all too small, even with a 45mm variant, the screen size is tiny. My tic watch is 50mm and it pretty much uses all the available real estate. I just can't understand the model here. A larger screen and battery are all people really want.

Maybe you're just way too much addicted to your devices? Yeah they don't have amazing battery life but for most users they do 24h which is good enough. A device with 36h changes nothing for me. I charge my devices before bed or as I sleep, not in the middle of the day.
