Looks great, simple fix is to remove wall at the bottom of the generaor syphine tube. By lowering the water level at the outlet from the generator will allow for much better flow. Rebuild your wall lower down the spillway. Maybe half way down. I’m sure you will get it working at 100%. I love watching your amazing skills.

True. For instance, the water-flow INTO the vertical pipe is not smooth. Which is why in most such installations the generator-bearings have a fairly short life. As is the case here.

You never want a generator going directly to what you are powering, it could at worst damage your lights/equipment and often be inconsistent like with the flashing lights. It is best to have a charge controller and a battery, then route the power from the battery to what you are powering. This has the benefit of safety, more consistent powering, and a backup if something with the generator goes wrong. Also you need a thicker gauge of wire if you ever intend to power anything more than lights, those thin wires cannot sustain a large amount of electricity without becoming dangerously hot or simply failing to transfer larger amounts of power.

You might want to put a powerbank between the turbine and the lights to stabilize the output into the lights (this will ruin them) and store power during the day to use in the evening, but well done!

Look again it is not at the top but the bottom. The generator is at the lowest end of the run he built which is the best place. He cannot use a waterfall or deeper water because the top of the generator needs to be dry. Assuming the run remains full this is the max capacity for this particular generator.

Undoubtedly very good, your videos are always very enjoyable and you learn a lot. just one thing, why the turbine with horizontal rotor? being able to have this jump of water, a mill-type turbine would be more efficient, also because the applications are many, from the generator, to the sawmill, to the mortar for pulverizing seeds or other things, to the shredder for removing the casings from the seeds, etc...

This generator could yield much more power since you have quite a large height drop in your drain area, but you are using very little of it, just the size of the generator's shaft.. one day, if you will redo this setup, think about it. PS: Add a grid before the generator to catch the debris flowing with the water, leaves and other junk. PPS: And we will pretend you actually run this house from the generator, ignoring the fact that lights don't blink and there is no power losses in the wires.
