As a cancer survivor. When I was told and went through my treatment . I just wanted my life to go back to normal. I didn't want cancer to be my whole life. I'm sure the King just wants to keep his life as normal as possible. Most people with cancer don't want to be labeled and seen as " the person with cancer" . They want to be themselves, and getting back to as normal a life as possible helps.

I. Was diagnosed with cancer December 2022, operation January 2023, short course of treatment. Very few of my friends and neighbours knew about it. I carried on as normal and I’m older than Charles. He knows his body and he’s smart enough to stay as healthy as he can.

I just saw a picture of him hugging his niece and I didn’t get hugs from any uncles or aunts or grandparents or my mom and dad. Only if I initiated it with my mom first in her later years. People seem to hug more now than they ever used to, but I’m 77 years old myself. My parents and their generation grew up during The Great Depression and both of their mothers lost their husbands around 1932 and the mothers had to work 2 jobs so they had no energy or time to show affection and they had to walk everywhere, their jobs, the store, to school for the kids. Life was really hard,

What is more important to you, Princess Catherine's health or your seeing her out and about???? Maybe you don't realize how sick chemotherapy treatments can be. I watched my mother go through Chemo and it was. horrible to see how sick it made her. At one point she wanted to stop the treatments but thankfully she continued and we as a family let her decide if and when she was up for visitors. I cannot believe how many posts I have seen asking " where's Catherine" or " When will we see her". etc. She is fighting for her life and should be given every bit of privacy that she needs or wants. It's clear how loved she is and I pray that she beats the cancer and that she makes a full recovery but it takes time.

Exactly. I admire him for doing as much as he can. Cancer is sometimes a cruel reminder of our mortality and can make one not want to waste a minute of the time we have. It's each individual's decision. I have lived nearly 20 years enduring life with severe Rheumatoid Arthritis. I sometimes am tempted to sit and not move because of the pain. But that's just not me. Everyone is different. We should be free to decide for ourselves what we will endure in order to still have life be meaningful and fulfilling. Some days I can't do things physically, so I pray for every Soul in the World, along with many other things. I'm still doing something of VALUE. Charles strikes me as someone who is a workaholic, conscientious and social. It's fitting for him to want to get back to work and do as much as he can. In his 70’s and undergoing cancer treatment, he’s doing a lot for what he’s going through. How Harry or Meghan don’t consider this just shows how their concerns are for themselves, not others. It would have been thoughtful for Harry to bring the kids over to see their grampa. This wasn’t the time for that but Harry should talk to his dad and ask when would be a better time for that to happen. Keeping grandkids away from extended family is just mean and hurtful. I don't think that King Charles is out and about "to be seen". If you look back on his "career" , if you will, he has always been very very active and going out and about talking to people and doing things. He is an active gardener and painter as well as having family around him. His grandmother was like that and so was his father. I know during covid when we were all cooped up and told to go nowhere and do nothing (and I am in my mid 70's, same age as the Princess Royal) I just about went crazy to get out and about. People forget that my generation were always very active and we were also one of the healthiest generations to come along in recent memory. We are used to getting out and doing things and meeting people. The King isn't petty or egotistical. He is wanting to get on with the job. I think he has enough sense to say, "hey, I need to take a few days off" when needed. Good grief, the royals are damned if they do and damned if they don't. He probably has grieved over his illness and, like so many cancer patients, has come to the realization that life is too short and let's get on with it. He wants to live a normal life and I don't blame him one bit.
