Natasha Hynes, from Montreal, Canada, bought a Dodge Sprinter van in 2021 with the dream of waking up in the mountains of the West Coast. After downsizing her life to move out of a toxic living situation and into a van with her 3 cats, Natasha crossed the country overcoming many obstacles along the way.
Over the following four months she would cross the country two more times, once on her way to document a historic moment in Canada, and another after being abandoned without a vehicle by her then co-traveler on the wrong side of the county.
While facing many life-threatening scenarios along the way, she made her way back to her van on the west-coast. Awwwwww I'm so sorry 😢🫂😥🫂 The pain of losing a beloved pet is heartbreaking, I had to say goodnight to my beautiful dog Tye in November, he was 16yrs old and everyone kept saying "aw he's had a good life" but I can assure you it doesn't matter what age they are, the pain is real, missing them is real, the tears are real, the heartache is real and the emptiness is real. Don't you listen to anyone, you deal with your grief the only way you know how. You'll have days when you feel okay and then you'll have days where you will miss them terribly. You did all you could and Nalla would tell you that too, you were a good cat mum, you took her everywhere with you. I'm so sorry for your pain and send you the biggest of love and hugs. Oh Natasha, I'm so sorry to hear your sweet lovely fur-daughter Nala passed away & your Mother too, & so close together. I can't imagine the pain you are in. When I lost my Bird Paco, I was bedridden for a few days. I felt so lost without my little Paco. Birds are like cats in that for survival they hide their weaknesses as best they can. It's even harder to mourn when you have toxic people around you not unserstanding or sympathizing what you are going through, especially for a pet you treated like your own child.

Natasha you take care of you. Don’t feel bad you had that reaction to your mother passing. That reaction came from your relationship with her. My moms mom passed and she didn’t cry. She only wished they had a better mother daughter relationship. But they didn’t and those days are over. And she’s glad they are over. Don’t feel bad. And don’t let the A holes get ya down. Nala will forever love/ be loved by you. She is by your side in spirit. I believe she knew you did all you could for her, and certainly felt how deeply you loved her. I can relate to how you maybe feeling on the loss of your mother. I had similar sudden passing at Christmas 2021 with my emotional, verbally & mentally abusive estranged father, so i 'get' it. @@QuestOutWest I also understand how it feels to be in the company of people who don’t understand the grief we suffer over a “non-human”… it’s very painful to hear their suggestions of “oh, she’s in a better place”, or “you can always get another cat or dog”. “It’s not like a person, stop making such a big deal”. I cannot be around those people. Instead I try to surround myself w/out “pet parents” who have gone thru these loses & understand our misery. I am sorry for your lost. I am with you and many who are and were here for you, you're not alone. During our six years of full-time nomad in the desert, we lost two of our four legged companions due to one with diabetes and the other with a cancer. At the same time, my mother passed away then the next year was my father in law in which both times, we received the sad news while we are full-time in the desert. You done everything you could Natasha ❤ You gave her a good life full of love ❤️ A lot of animals don’t get that. You had it to give and you chose to give it and thank god there are people like you in the world. Like us. I’m like that too. I had a cat that died when she was 8. Her name was Annabella she was a white long haired blue eyed cat. She had a blood clot and got real cold and wouldn’t move I rushed her to the vet and she passed that day. It was traumatic. Time passed. I said I’m gonna get the first white kitten I see. Male or female. I got a male at PetSmart without even seeing his face. His back was turned around to the back. He has green eyes and I named him Roscoe. He turned out to be deaf which I didn’t find that out till about 3 years later. He is 6 now and he’s my little buddy. As long as you have love in your heart you have it to give. And that can make all the difference. Don’t let the A holes of the world get you down. I’d rather be you than them. The hurt is still to the point that i never want to go through that kind of hurt again. Oh my friend...I wish I could sit and talk with you and give you hugs. I understand COMPLETELY what you are saying about how much love you feel for you beautiful cat and not so much for your mother. It doesn't make you a bad person or anything. I love my little Polar Bear so much, he's been there for me through all of this crap over the last 4 years, cutting toxic people out and me being all alone in this world, I totally get it. It’s one of worse losses in the world if you ask me. I understand your pain all too well. You have absolutely no reason to apologize. I seriously felt like not being around anymore after the loss of my cat. I can see it would sound ridiculous to most but to me…..he was all that mattered to me & was completely devastated without him. All that really kept me going was the fact that I had 2 other fur babies counting on me. Please just think & remember all the times, kisses, snuggles, warm loving moments you gave her that maybe she never would have known if you didn’t have her. I’m also so very sorry about your mother. I could relate to everything you tried and used. Gumby Gumby is another thing to try if ever needed. Cleans the blood. Your cats hun are your babies. Our animals are sometimes more important but definately as important as our human family and friends. They are there non judgmental and love us unconditionally as you know. Hun I absolutely love it when your videos pop up so I do hope you find it in you to continue. You have a lot of love energy being sent to you. I literally feel your pain. I’m sitting here balling. Life makes it even worse when they go near a holiday. A day that is meant to be happy will never be the same. I lost my Carly Thanksgiving day 2011. It’s not been the same since. And she’s the only one I waited too long to have put to sleep. She died in my arms in the car on the way from the vet. She had heart failure and couldn’t get her breath from congestive heart failure. She suffered because I waited too long. And I have to live with that I failed her. I’m so sorry for your pain. Most people won’t understand it. Never apologize for your pain. It is real. 💔

Losing an animal is the hardest thing you can go through, I so get you as I love animals more than people so my heart really goes out to you sweetie, your animals know how much mum loves them, please try and think of the good memories, your baby will be all around you in spirit. I'm so sorry for your losses and I truly understand how you feel loosing a loved best friend. 😿 I lost my 11 year old cat Simson, the love of my life, 13 years ago to cancer too. I noticed that he had some problem eating so I took him to the Vet thinking something must have gotten stuck in his throat. On our way I promised him that the Vet was going to help and that he would soon feel better. By looking down his throat the Vet immediately found the reason to his problem. A very aggressiv form of cancer almost blocked it and there was absolutely nothing more to do than let him go. I still to this day cannot even think about it. I had to call my husband at work and tell him to come because everything just turned black. Holding him while the Vet put him to sleep is the worst I've ever experienced. I had promise him help and could do nothing. It took me 11 years to open my heart to Maximus, two years old in Mars. He's very special like Simson was and I'm sure Simson sent him to us because they are a like in so many ways, e.g. excellent hunters and climb trees up and down with head first. He came to us in a special way too. I had started to think about getting a kitten/cat but hadn't begin looking for one yet. My husband's daughter had gotten kittens and asked him if we was interested without knowing about my thoughts about wanting one. I told him I wished to have a male, semi long haired one just like Simson was. Her cats was both short haired and the five kittens was small so she couldn't even say what genders they where. After a month two of the kittens seemed more fluffy than the rest three. At the Vet it was confirmed that one of the semi long haired one was a male kitten... We had found Maximus! 😻 I'm absolutely sure sweet Simson sent him to us, I can't se any other explanation. Maximus special place to sleep at, is right under a photo of Simson hanging on the wall. 😻 A loved pet is a family member and the sorrow will never leave. All we can do is remember how lucky we have been to have had them in our lives. Take care and when and if you are ready to open your heart again I'm sure your loved cat will guide one to you.😻 (I'm not religious but maybe special souls exist forever.)

We as pet owners want them to recover, I went through the same with a little doggie I rescued, had lymphoma after 6 months I had her.... tried the same as you did....cbd etc. But when it's their time we are broken......Smartie passed at home too.....I have had two doggies that not long after I had adopted, got cancer.....my 4 cats and one doggie helped me through the tough times.....most people don't understand at all.....even other people who have pets..... we genuine pet lovers are a rare breed......

I have read that the de wormer you are talking about has cured some cases of cancer in humans! our job as parents to our fur babies is to make them as comfortable as possible. First of all, I'm sorry for your loss of a family member. Your cat and your mom. Second, well done on taking care of your cat !! You did everything that you could. The cat returned to thank you for your love and care and to remind you that you are being watched over and will never be forgotten. You did great. Unfortunately, it is not for us to determine when someone ends their journey. I experienced the return of a beloved Eskimo Pomeranian dog 3 times. I could smell his fur and felt him brush against me. My daughter and her mother smelled Happy also within seconds of each other. We all said: "Oh my God, Happy's here !!!" Also my mother and I had a rough relationship and I was in Wisconsin when she died in New Jersey at the age of 96. She was hard on me because she wanted me to make it in this life and not destroy myself. But I'm sensitive and always have been. Maybe too sensitive. So that harshness didn't work on me. It had the opposite effect. It made me less likely to succeed and be strong. I shrunk instead of thrived. But since I've had a few years to reflect on it now, I innerstand that it was her way of caring and loving. I also learned how to absorb and stand up to criticism and not back down. Sometimes people don't love us the way we want to receive it, but it doesn't mean they don't love us. Gifts are given even if we don't know it or feel it at the time. So I hope you will feel better soon. I want you to know that I pray for you every day. And I Love you .
