I was at Greenhills Mall in Manila this past March. My wife was several booths away, looking for bargains without her American husband being too close by to accidently jack up the prices for her. Two young sales ladies in a booth invited me to sit down and have a sample of the massage machine they were selling. I did, they introduced themselves, and I introduced myself back to them. There were two ladies, probably in their mid-30s, standing by the side of the booth. They both rushed over and introduced themselves to me. They certainly were not Booth workers, just people standing around. I smiled, held up my hand and pointed to my wedding ring. It did not mean a thing. They kept aggressively trying to talk to me and strike up some kind of conversation. I found it quite funny. They only backed off when my wife showed up to see what trouble I had gotten myself into. 😁😁

Especially good advice for people who are shy or insecure. I have seen so many foreigners or expats come out here who don't have maybe the best social skills and have come looking for love. Very rare to find it in the bars and clubs, and especially after Covid a lot of freelancers hanging around, these guys are looking in the wrong places. Guys get caught in the trap of feeling they are saving someone when really they are just taken advantage of. The Philippines is a beautiful country with a great culture and some of the most giving people in the world, but the poverty divide is huge so always advise caution first. Take your time getting to know someone as the traditional courtship still does exist here for sure as you mentioned in the video. I think good advise is to take up some hobbies and you can meet some great people with similar interests and strike up a conversation.

Two different experiences. Me - my wife is from a rural part of the Philippines. Over the past 20 years she has taught me about love and family and she has managed to be continuously promoted and earns over $200k/year which is slightly more than me and not bad for a girl who is not from the states. She is also an excellent mother, again, teaching me how to do better as my own family experience was not the best. My friend - My friend met a good girl from a rural part of the Philippines too, but he said he wanted a "wild girl". So he moved on and met a girl from metro manila. She gave him sex and attention and they married. She refused to work and chose to spend her days at home playing poker on her phone and chatting with men in the middle east. She would drive to the casino 3 hours away and sleep in a hotel alone and she continued doing this when they had kids, leaving the husband who was already working hard to tend to the kids for the two days when he should have been resting. I walked into their home one day to see their youngest child with wrists tied to his highchair screaming his head off while she sat on the sofa playing poker. All sex stopped and all signs of affection stopped after the kids were born. My friend gave up hoping for a change and has accepted he will have to just watch porn. I blame him of course, he let it happen, but this is a warning to others and yes it can happen and does happen in America too. Choose carefully, choose wisely, think with the big head not the little one because the little one has no brain.
