I'm not a massive fan of very low miles, just sold a very low miles kia, 1 owner, main dealer fsh, I had to do a starter motor, brakes seized, speedo stopped working, broken spring. Then customer rang up saying clutch had gone (250 miles) she'd been quoted 900 quid (picanto)

In April I paid £10495 for a Focus estate 150TDCI from High Peak. It had 44500 miles and full service history. I prefer the low miles as I know it could do thousands more. I probably paid well over the real price It is a March 2017 so £20 VED. I suppsoe if you find the right buyer you will ge the cash back.

As I said in another post , your car prep is outstanding as is your knowledge. Just think you can lean on a dodgy trade in . IE missing scheduled work not done . If they couldn’t afford that maintenance , has it been run on a shoe string? If yes it’s dirt cheap! Low mileage on older car , everything rubber needs doing right?

I got gifted my mums 63 plate fiesta 1L ecoboost zetec 5 door she was buying the new corsa and used my old 08 Audi a4 saloon s line with 136k she was given £1650 so when i got in my new car the mileage read 19k so i was obviously very chuffed and all i needed to do was get new discs and pads its a cracking car and very nippy in town.

Make sure to use the right oil and check the timing belt. Those wet timing belts in the 1.0 Ecoboost are notorious. I don't know what year a 63 plate is (not from the UK) but if it's new enough to have a timing chain (2019 and newer), it still has a wet belt time bomb to drive the oil pump. Milage is irrelevant with wet belts unless it's too much, but they often break before their regular service interval requires them to be replaced.

Regarding autodoc. I use it more for getting the part number then looking online to find cheaper. Looked for cambelt kit found on eBay £15 cheaper. Its is good for finding brands that aren’t sold as much here though. Regarding the fiesta the market has changed a lot. This time last year you would get £7000 for it but now maybe £5500-6000. Low mileage isn’t always king especially the older the car is. The history helps it a lot.

Just use wbac bud as a rough free valuation, I tried for a 50k 63 plate, same car at auction last week, so a lot more miles than yours, they were all over it, it did well into the 4ks,probably been 4800 out of the door, so yours is worth more, trade, wbac say 4.5k,they'll chip your customer down to say 4100 tho, you'll sell that dead easy for a high price bud.

The few times i've bought from them it takes a full week Mon to Mon. The only reason I don't use them much is it would be a pain if you get the wrong parts.....I have 4 good local motor factors and if i'm certain of the part number Parts In Motion on eBay are very good especially for springs..... Amazon can actually be good as well. Sometimes Amazon sell stuff ridiculously cheap when they are down to the last item to make room for new stock. Bought some Ferodo Premier rear discs for my 2014 Grand Vitara recently, usually £90-£100 a pair......£12 delivered 😂

The auto trader took is self perpetual in driving down prices, nobody wants to be labelled as priced High, so price Fair or Good which lowers the average down and so lowers the "Fair" price point and that just continues unless it's something special where people will pay a High price for the spec etc
