U wot* Dont even mention infidelity, women are out here cheating just as much as men and the #2 cause of divorce is finances. This reminded me of how Dr Dre lost millions to his ex-wife during their divorce settlement and women on social media were like, “Yes girl, get all those coins!” etc. but when Adele’s ex-husband did the same thing all I heard was, “What has he done? this is so unfair!” even though Adele’s ex-husband actively helped her during her career

These people complaining like that are misandrists, plain and simple. They look at the men from centuries ago and think that they're the same today, so they should be hated and crumbled to dust, that because women had to go through shit in the past it gives the right to be just as toxic today. To these people it's not about getting rid of a target on a specific group of people, it's about moving that target to people they hate

Exactly except Dr Dres wife,was with him for a very long time just like Michael Jordons wife was with him from the beginning. They both deserve half because, while they were out making the money the wives were home raising the kid and supporting them holding down the home front while they were out keeping a roof over their heads. As for,Adel, darn near the same thing. He was with her,from the beginning but their relationship just didn't last as long but he was still there helping her out so pay the man. A judge can toss it out. Either because it's determined to not be "fair"(the most successful ones still involve a payout because the judge views her as a who re who needs to be paid for her time/access) or it's determined to have been signed under duress. Which is always true because you wouldn't have married without it i.e. the very act of wanting it is determined to be a forceful action. Simplest solution? DON'T GET MARRIED AT ALL. And if you're in a state with common-law marriage, you don't even live together.

This is exactly why most 'ordinary women' are at a disadvantage when seen in relationships - it's because of a truly privileged woman playing the 'women's victim' card thinking that by saying to take everything that she's the savior for all of us. This is how warped they are in their bubble. I've seen how a man is devastated after a divorce because the wife took everything, and he went from working in a stable environment at a bank with his own place to becoming essentially homeless with mental health deterioration. But at the end of the day, by this standard, he deserved it because he cannot play the victim card because he isn't a woman. The original feminist movement and its leaders are turning on their graves as to how steered away we went because of their fight for us to even get prenups and having women work for their own assets. Now, we say to do the same with what traditionally men got away with and call it empowerment. F*ckin' mind blown.

My parents have a prenup and have been together for 44 years and still going strong. Men want prenups because over 70% of divorces are initiated BY WOMEN so yeah it’s pretty much the woman planning on getting a divorce if she won’t sign a prenup because most men don’t ever take that route it’s over 70% of the time the woman who initiates the divorce. Men understand women change over time and just in case she decides to leave you we want a prenup.

So best to sort those things out when you like/love each other to make sure it’s fair, equitable and loving.

Prenup isn’t always a “what’s mine is mine and what’s yours is yours” agreement. You can put just about anything into a prenup. The higher earner could have a “ you will have 20% of my income monthly for 10 years after the divorce” or “ you will get 10% stakes in any pre existing companies and 50% of any new businesses” It funny how women don’t want prenups but if the husband makes less and he gets half of everything she works for then it’s a problem.

To me all of this just shows some women only care about how much money you have instead of your self but hey that's why there is a thing called a prenup and i know it probably scares females the most. But yha i agree as the girl who said if you sign this paper its basically meaning your ending your relationship on that day. Which it doesn't really have to be that way as things don't last forever well back then it used to be now people who are married and stuff find breaking up and divorcing is fun cause they get more things out of it then trying to make the love making last. So yha i say at least think about these things in the back of your head like aba said people can change their mind when things starts to get crazy in their life. So sure they can say yes to this but if they lose the court battle they will be "no no no no no".

She gets to keep a car I fully paid for, she gets to keep our dog, she gets to keep all her income while I pay for all the house related bills (mortgage, insurance, internet, taxes) because I'm the one that paid for it and I want to keep 100% ownership of the home. Prenups shouldn't just eliminate the other person from taking something you have. Prenups should be utilized to bring about fairness in a system, that by default, splits everything down the middle.

As a woman who does not have a lot of money I would still sign a prenup and if he didn’t initially bring it up, I would. When you get married you are still two people. You do not fuse into one person. What is mine is mine and what is yours is yours. The divorce rate is so high and there are so many reasons that a couple could want a divorce. It’s not going into it expecting a divorce at some point. It’s preparing for the worst case scenario. Like you said at the beginning of the video. You buy a car and get insurance for it. Not because you are expecting a crash, but because you what to be prepared and protected if it does happen. I think one of the major problems that has led to such a high divorce rate is that people get married so quickly after meeting someone. Give the relationship time, give yourself time to really figure out if that person that you are with truly has good intentions and will be respectful and responsible if the marriage goes south. And likewise, give yourself time to figure out if you are going to respectful and responsible if the relationship goes south.

Get to know the other person when things go south, because things will at one point inevitably go south, and you don't want any surprises at that point... Especially after marriage. Also one needs to open up and just be honest with their own shortcomings. If the other person sees you at anything other than your best and still decides to stay, then you know that their love is truly unconditional.

My take is this when you get married you become one not two. I just recently discovered that there’s a huge difference between Kingdom marriages and worldly marriages. Most marriages that end in divorce are marriages that people decided on their own and not God himself because what God joins together can never be separated regardless. A lot of people get married based on their acknowledgment, they don’t ask God for help and guidance hence most marriages fail. Before you get married you supposed to have a relationship with God first and most of us don’t because we think we in control. Once you build that relationship and bond with God, you’ll do things differently because the Holy Spirit will guide you. You ask God to reveal your ordained spouse and he’ll will. But we don’t do this hence we marry the wrong people and therefore the devil does what he does best, kill, steal and destroy. Most importantly again people know deep down that they in wrong relationships but yet, still stay. Red flags don’t just happen over night you choose to ignore them. Hence it is important to put God first. There’s only one you and one God and that’s why we promised one marriage however, the devil deceived us into believing that you can move on just because. People have been brainwashed with society and the media due movies and all, forgetting that reality is not based on fairytales. People look for love but yet they themselves fail to love themselves. Next time you surround yourself with people ask yourself this “do these people bring peace into my life? Do I give them peace too? Do we bring the best selves out of each other or do we bring the worst of each other? Energy is important, again it’s the little things we take for granted that paints the bigger picture in the end. Marriages aren’t for us, most people don’t even know why they need to get married. Marriages are to honour and serve the Lord. God is real and God does help his children when you call for Him. Have a blessed day.

Coz majority of people don't believe in god. It's just a mystical being written in a book and marriage is just a contract to bind two people to legalize having a kid/s and call it a family and legacy. And if the other person who has lesser power doesn't agree with the terms and conditions that were being placed by the person who set such tone along the way poof you be gone. In a worldly marriage kid/s are the only family a parent will ever have while the two people who created that pact are just individuals, distinct and separate from each other. That's why two people should have the same values in coming together coz adding an individual to your life is the most important decision you’ll ever make.

I mean there are women who “take everything”… however, I think we have to differentiate. If a couple has been married for 25 years & you both agreed that she’ll stay at home or only work part-time to raise your kids and be a housewife etc. In those cases it’s just fair that in a divorce she gets some of the money the (ex-)husband worked for… as she too invested in the family with her unpaid labor (child rearing, housework etc) and the only reason he could make the money he did is because she took care of everything else.

Reasons why prenupts are a good idea: 1. It opens the way for extremely different economic classes -- a banker marrying a waitress. 2. It removes most 'gold digging' concerns. 3. It removes 'gold digging' concerns from family. This is big as family might not give you money, cars, house, family jewelry, etc. 4. It deals with complex assets -- such as businesses or shares. Last thing you want in a divorce is getting half the shares in some tire business or a medical practice and see it go bankrupt because some ex fights over the shares. Likewise, all the other partners in the business. 5. It often covers cheating specifically. This may mean someone is willing to marry you in a non-fault state or at all. And it forces both parties to think extra hard about cheating. 6. It is negotiated when everyone is in a good mood. Typically, there are always minimum payouts. 7. It often forces things like wills, living trusts, tax, and bankruptcy planning -- especially with liabilities on business and such. 8. It is fair. You'd be amazed how often situations change -- high-income earner gets sick and can't work, high income person has an affair, etc.

all well thought out arguments for this. Normally, I like to play devil's advocate and think of the counter arguments, but in this case every one I think of just doesn't hold water to logic. I know MANY marriages where the woman is primary bread winner and came into the marriage with much more.
@BW022
@BW022 3 жыл бұрын
@@wasgreg Women almost exclusively select men of equal or higher incomes. Also, men save more than women on average -- they take less holidays, say closer to home, don't require fancy homes/cars, do more 'expensive' jobs themselves (home renos, etc.) However, notice that all the items above apply equally to women. If a female business executive marries a mechanic... everything above applies also. The last thing she wasn't end up is in say an abusive relationship where she is cheated on and can't get out because it costs her hundreds of thousands.

@@BW022 Well put comments. First one, you can say different tax brackets. I'll add a point, It increases meaning of relationship as the loophole and the advantage of divorce is nullified and marriage actually has some meaning and Women start to put the effort in it rather than acting like queens without being one. Men will be more open and real as nothing to worrying about divorcing and losing half of the money and wealth that took 8 years of hardwork, roughly speaking, for stupid reasons. In this, I have to agree that traditional women or as you said in first point lower tax bracket women on divorce in 30s may end up struggling and she may or may not be equipped enough to get a job. I feel they can end up bad. The society which are poor are too conservative, chances of getting married are low. We've seen similar power dynamic in Rose and Ed case, glad rose is good now. We gotta think something about that. Not these TV FAMINEEST. I don't care about these crybabys but hardworking women out there living an honest life. I understand the need of Women to find a financially stable man, it's biological and social as well. They need to be safe when they are vulnerable with child. A woman does complete and start the family, they are nurturing by nature. We also refer MOTHER NATURE. But modern Wahmen feel they are superior to men. Balancing it, is a tricky task. But then these are modern times. You can't speaks truth or what you mean if hurts someone's feelings. Feelings are great and makes us kind and humble but there is equal need of rationality.
@BW022

@@user-bm9cv9vn2k I don't say tax brackets, because income taxes are based on incomes. You can be wealthy, or comes from wealth, but not earn a huge amount of income per say. You could inherit a house or have parents wiling to give you a house... and still be coming out of college or something with low personal income.

Before you say they're just "presenting" their opinion, they're not and that can be concluded by the shouting, word choice (If your man asks you to sign the prenup leave his ass now!) and full agreeance including the host himself, Steve. Nobody is "butt-hurt" over their opinions, its the style of presentation, its more aimed towards "this is what we think and if you disagree you're wrong" rather than, "this is our opinion, but your relationship conditions should be discussed with one another with both sides presenting a logical reason to support their opinion" (If only media was taken more seriously than it is). Also good to note that prenups can be a great space to put norms/expectations of your relationship on paper. For example, this is a good space to note division of duties and allowances of resources prior to marriage

There is this story on Reddit: A woman making closed to $200k per year wanted a pre-nup before getting married to protect her assets. She told her partner she worked too hard to get where she was. Her partner was ok with it. He was making around $60k. While doing the paperwork for the pre-nup, She found out that her partner was actually a multi-millionaire. Of course, she changed her mind and was not in favour of the pre-nup anymore. The wedding got cancelled!!!😊😊😊

@@valenciaing.4316 that's some dumb shit. what part of most women are responsible for divorces don't you get? gold diggers see marriage as an opportunity to ripoff some poor sod rather making a vow for life and women that start out normal start seeing dollar signs the moment they think their marriage isn't working. maybe don't get married if you don't wanna sign a prenup. Depending on which state its a contract between the wife and the government. The man just hold the money or in rare cases the woman. You are simply doing business with the government. I will never understand how anyone could be that cold that it comes down to taking as much from someone you claimed to love enough to marry them. If that person cheated or beat you then i can understand the need for some kind of revenge but anyone who puts that much into taking from someone is a truly damaged and ignorant person. Ive been with my fiance for almost 7 years and when we do get married we've talked about doing the ceremony and changing my name but i dont need to promise myself to him in the eyes of the government for us to be married.

Got married at 33 with no prenup. I owned a business, a house, and 20,000 sq ft building. We celebrate our 21st anniversary in 2 weeks. I was blinded by love and I got lucky. Get a prenup if you have substantial assets. Watched my brother get hosed after a 4 year marriage, She managed to pop out two kids immediately. I think he was her 5 year plan.

Agree!! I signed a 24 page prenup. It took my husband many years to recover from his divorce. He dragged it out and thankfully dodged life time alimony due to having a successful business. Starting all over again is very hard for a man especially if you already put over 20 years of blood sweat and tears. If women truly love their partners"sign the prenup"!!

This is EXACTLY why I brought up getting a prenup to my husband. He makes loads more than me, I rather he protect what was his before us than lose it if we split. I may bite myself later on of life but its for the best, lmao jk on the biting myself. Im not that petty. As long as our son is taken care of by the both of us, thats all that matters to me.

I learned that with my baby mom when we broke up and she started doing drugs. Completely different person after we broke up and after especially after the drugs. I was talking to a group of people I knew like 2 years later (she had gotten our kids taken after I got in a "stress related" [acording to the judge lol] bar fight cause she was a super c**t and I was stressing super hard, that's how I found out she was a drug addict so I hadn't seen her since), started to tell a joke I like and some chick I could swear I never met finished it when I paused at the punchline to light a cigarette. I turned and asked where she heard that from the chick takes her sunglasses off and it turns out its my baby mom. Looked like a different person, her voice was kinda fucked, she wasn't hot anymore lmao. I was shocked. All I could say was "oh, it's you". Then left. Weirdest experience in my whole life. Not true. I've seen women own up to things in court and do the right thing. I'm one of them. My boyfriend and I got into an argument. He grabbed my phone and the police was driving by and arrested him. They lied and said he punched me and tried to get him charged with domestic violence. They mocked him in that jail cell for being black. When it was time for me to testify I told them he just grabbed my phone and whatever else was said didn't come from me and didn't happen. I could have lied sis he was the reason for the argument but I didn't.

People need to understand that *women make up 80% of all consumer spending in this country* . They also make up an overwhelming amount of the viewership of talk shows like this. Why do you think advertisements are nothing but 'woman strong and independent'; man weak and incompetent' ? *Its bad for business for Steve to have anyone on his show that can make his audience look foolish and entitled* , so he will continue to pander to women until they stop paying him to. He is a hypocrite and a sellout. I'm glad more and more videos like this are showing his true colors and giving an alternate point of view.
