I juice strawberries in my J2 all the time, along with red beetroot, red apple & carrot. The berries add flavor and body, and the resulting juice is loved even by those that dislike beetroot.

Thank you for another great Learning experience from our #1Juicing Expert, John Kohler! Thank you for the research you do and sharing the data. The chart you shared really helped me, as a visual learner, absorb your message. To utilize 100% of the nutrients, I Vacuum Blend at least twice a day. First, my wife's collagen concoction and then for my kidney condition, arugula pea protein and highly filtered alkaline water. In a short period of time and with the proper diet I raised my EGFR from 16 to 44, a result unheard of by most nephrologists.

I find that buying frozen strawberries are best for juicing. They are always more fresh than what the grocery store offers, are already washed, and cheaper than packages like the one shown. I usually use them for smoothies, but on occasion it's fun to make something sweet like a watermelon-strawberry-lemon juice.
@johnanderson37008 ай бұрын
Helpful as sometimes you want to make a soup from berries, especially in summer so a good way to preserve nutrients when making a fruit based fruit.

Great video. My strawberries last a week. I put them in layers as I cut them on paper towels before refrigerating them. Bottom of container paper towel. Layer of cut strawberries. Layer of paper towel and so on. Works great. No moldy strawberries.
@JacquelinePayne-cp6iw8 ай бұрын
If you wash strawberries or any fruits correctly you wouldn't have to cut them. Don't use a commercial brand of cleaning fruits and vegetables. In a large bowl pour four cups of water, 1 cup of white vinegar and a tablespoon of baking soda. Let fruit soak for no longer than 7 or 8 minutes. When you drain the water you will see the dirt and impurities. Rinse the berries again in a colinder. Dry the berries completely. Place in a paper towel lined container with a paper towel on the top. Your berries will last longer.

What's up John? I like this episode, it was very informative. Right now I can't afford a vacuum blender. But, I do have a Ninja 1000 blender and I will be blending more. I do see the point. One day I will be able to afford a better juicer. Until then I will blend anyway. Thanks for the information. Peace!
@discountjuicers8 ай бұрын
Hey Michael, I would recommend eating berries instead of non-vacuum blending them. Eating them will net you MORE nutrition than blending them. That being vacuum blending is almost as good as eating them, but I would say slow juicing and mixing the juice and PULP back together is healthier than using a traditional blender. Turn your Ninja 1000 into a (weak) vacuum blender if you are handy kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z4rEqaWvbqplmJI

But berries such as ( blueberry, raspberry, blackberries) are full with tiny seeds that you can feel it in your mouth unlike strawberry, and that could be unpleasant for some people ,, i like to have it as a juice without lots of seeds within the juice ,,but still many juicers fall to spearte tiny seeds from the berries juices !?
@discountjuicers5 ай бұрын
I would recommend investing in a high quality vacuum blender, which will blend up the seeds into fine particles so you can no longer feel them in your mouth.

I don't understand, vacuume blending will add even more nutrients than eating it by itself?
@discountjuicers8 ай бұрын
That has yet to be discovered. I would say vacuum blending or vacuum juicing is one of the healthiest methods to prepare produce to keep the most oxygen-sensitive nutrients and minimize enzymes that thrive in an oxygen-rich environment.

Can you please juicing carrots celery and apple in the omega bmj390hd
@discountjuicers8 ай бұрын
The BMJ390 was discontinued many years ago. I no longer own one. The BMJ330 is the same except the top is different. I juice carrots in that machine in the video kzbin.info/www/bejne/jqjPpK19pZaBhtk It is a high-speed machine and will add more oxygen into the juice, which lowers oxygen-sensitive nutrients. The plus side is that it is fast and makes a decent yield on carrots. See kzbin.info/www/bejne/hmbGfoeVjbGNqNk where I compare a high speed to a low speed juicer.

Could you recommend an entry level vacuum blender
@discountjuicers8 ай бұрын
Most companies have exited (or will exit) the vacuum blending market. The best entry level I recommend at this time is the Nuwave. Keep in mind Nuwave will exit the vacuum blending market once this item is sold out, but it will be covered under warranty. www.amazon.com/dp/B084GWY6JP?linkCode=ssc&tag=onamzjohnkohl-20&creativeASIN=B084GWY6JP&asc_item-id=amzn1.ideas.IVEZ4MJLH486&ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ofs_mixed_d_asin Honestly, if it were me, I would find a cheap used blendtec blender and get the void systems lid.

Good question. I hear it is available in Europe at this time, and I hear that the yield is basically the same as the 727. So the only added benefit is the 100% stainless steel, which is nice, but it is expensive. I hear it might be coming to the USA within the next year.

We have three rhubarb plants, been there for over 30 years. Some french variety. Forget what my Dad told me they are. Either way, three times a year, they each produce literally 20 kilos of super thick fruit. Rhubarb crumble for the entire year and LOADS to give away. The other day at Morrisons supermarket I saw four piddly, thin strands of rhubarb for £3.20!!! You'd need probably FOUR of those bundles to make a single crumble. I remember thinking ... shit. I should sell Rhubarb! Plant another 15-20 plants. Have mroe than enough room. And it takes care of itself.
