I’m 35 now and at this point I throw up my hands and throw in the towel. What’s the point of spending all my money on skin treatments if the majority of things that causes my acne can’t be helped. I’ve even incorporated exercising and having a healthy diet in my daily routine. This is just one fight I can’t win. God bless those who don’t have this problem.😔

God bless you. I’ve dealt with acne for over half of my life and I’m 32. I started using DIM supplements and it helped. It’s not a miracle worker, but it did help me. It was a very long and lonely journey with my acne so I understand. My acne was severe with very painful cystic acne that left me with scars that I’m correcting now. I advise you to start taking DIM, and get your hands on Retin A. If you can also take vitamin A, too. This creation will mimic Accutane, just in vitamin and topical form. I pray this helps you. I know how it is. Been there before.

Acne can really affect us mentally and mess with our self esteem. I struggled with it for a long time and used so many things until I found dr dray on KZbin. I minimized my routine and I can honestly say LESS IS MORE. Maybe you can try a simple routine and visit a derm every now and then.

I didn’t have acne until I was 27. Now I’m 35 and have cystic acne on my face and a bunch of dark spots. It’s quite debilitating. I just cover with foundation as I research which products can help lighten the marks.

I've been seeing a black dermatologist since January and she is really helping my acne/hyperpigmentation get under control. I've been suffering from acne since I was 10 years old. I am almost 38 and have hormonal/adult acne. My doctor prescribed an acne cream with tretinoin and benzoyl perioxide. She also recommended an eye cream for dark circles. I've been using the products in addition to my cerave products as instructed which has been really effective. I am very pleased with the results so far.

I have had the worst hyperpigmentation and because my skin is so light and scars are so dark it looks really really bad. It wasn’t until about a month ago that I have reduced acne breakouts and started seeing a difference in my scars. Consistency really is the biggest factor , and I recently started microneedling at home and it has been speeding up the process, and my scars are actually going away not just lightening up and my skin has become a lot smoother. But I understand microneedling isn’t something everyone try one should do at home you have to take a lot of precautions but it has been good to me

Never had acne as a teenager and now am experiencing it in my late 20's. My issue is the dark spots once the pimple heels. Sometimes months Ive tried dermatologist only to be hospitalised from medication. Skin is sensitive . I dont wanna just by random things lately am so sad from the critisisms comments and looks i started becomin more desperate for a solution. For weeks i read up on kojic acid soap...deciding if i should try it...then today i came accross ur videos.

Wow! First person to acknowledge sex as a factor finally. For women, it is a great factor. I've been married 16 years and my face stays so clear that most people assume I'm 21, but I am 37 with 5 kids. We have sex often. It really does help with more things than we realize! 😍

Hi, Danielle! Thanks for the thorough video. I am getting laser hair removal on my chin and neck. I have some dark spots from previous plucking and hair bumps. Would the laser also help with the discoloration (in addition to the hair removal)?
@styleandbeautydoctor9 ай бұрын
Hey boo! Laser hair removal doesn’t directly help with dark spots, but because after time you grow less hair and remove it less, you lessen the likelihood of getting hyperpigmentation from removing the hair. You’ll still need treatment to fade the dark spots.

What do you think about skin color tinted sunscreen? And do you recommend them over sheet tint? Are they any better
@styleandbeautydoctor9 ай бұрын
If you can find a shade that matches your skin well AND you use enough (2 mg/cm2 skin) then tinted sunscreens particularly tinted mineral sunscreens have shown to be great in a dark spot prevention/treatment routine. Problem is I haven’t come across a huge amount of good tinted ones-but you can find the ones I did find to be nice in my sunscreen playlists

Ultra Violette is great. An Australian Co. They have a range of shades you can add to sunscreen. It can't be worn on it own because you would need too much.
