Sapphire Nitro + yes, rest are same as others.. I would never buy ref model of these 7900 GPUs. Differences are to big and premium price is well worth. Flagships from Sapphire and Power Color are the best.

Like everyone says...Sapphire is the EVGA of AMD, the GOAT if you want an AMD card. I have owned 6 Sapphire AMD cards. None of them have failed on me so far. And I still have 4 of them in perfect working condition. The other 2 were given away to a friend and a family member. Those 2 are also still working.

It's been several years now, but I remember a Polaris PC card (480 I think) with a VRM barely capable of running the card stock. I'm not aware of any similarly weak products from Sapphire.

I was along time EVGA fan, right up until they quit making GPUS. They had the best quality and best support of any electronics manufacturer. I was so sorry to see them withdraw from the market. My replacement has been Sapphire. They're about as close as anyone gets to EVGA.

I generally buy used Sapphire Nitro+ GPUs for the quality of the build. I bough a 6700XT Nitro+ that runs stable for daily gaming at 2910MHz and stays cool with a slight fan curve tweak. Its about 5% faster than stock 6750XT. Sapphire makes the best AMD GPUs by far.

Best gpu? This is my first expensive gpu I bought and it failed on the simplest things, rgb failed after 3 weeks of use, also the rpm showed 0 rpm in every program, I did everything In my power to fix this thing nothing worked. Then i rmaD it, this was 7 weeks ago and I still haven't good any news about my gpu repair status, like really, Sapphire has such bad support and such slow repair rmaD process its horrendous. I bought it from a company of course that shipped thus card to sapphire but they take ages, soon I have to get me a lawyer so I will get responses or my gpu back. They are just straight up ignoring me and do nothing. Worst purchase ever made.

I knew it would be a Sapphire card when i saw the title of the video. They produce highest quality AMD GPUs for years. The only minor issue is that they do audible coil noise under load

Yeah I RMAd one of these XTX Nitros for exactly that reason. That is also the easiest to 'fix' by the end user typically, so if it could have one fault, i'd probably take fixable/reduceable coil whine.

From my experience, all brands makes duds, and the only 2 brands i try to stay clear off for gpu´s are gigabrick, and MSI, its the only 2 brands i have owned where tther mobo or gpu has died on me, all tho msi only happende once, where i have had 3-4 faulty gigabrick products. Asus/XFX/sapphire and asrock, has never broken on me, but i have had a asrock z370 that had some wieard mem issues.

EDit: ignore bracket part, I see it was a dropped card, poor thing. They are heavy! I'm glad I shelled out extra for this unit at end of 2023. I RMA'd first one due to coil whine, second one is much better, while being slightly worse at UV. Only downside to an amazing card and I usually ALWAYS buy the reference cards from AMD. Both cards do 3GHz+ in real world loads and t-delta is well under 10°c. They also sip power using chill, under 160W at 4k/120 in older titles is hilarious.

don't doubt it. I had nearly every flavor of the RX 580 come through my hands and the Nitro+ was the best. It's better than the Asus Strix and much better than the MSI Gaming X.

They do also make some more basic models too, though I would hope that there's at least nothing wrong with those models, even if some of them might be a little mediocre in terms of how good the cooler is (I think they're actually AMD's only manufacturer of a bunch of their very basic reference models for the current RDNA3 generation).

About the boot time, the graphics card is detected with PCI 3.0 instead or 4.0 with x16 lanes. I have the same issue with my motherboard cannot get it to work in 4.0. But try to force into gen 3 in the BIOS menu it should reduce the boot time.

I became a fan of Sapphire since I bought a RX 580 Nitro+ back in 2018 and still works to this day. I bought the 7900 XTX Pulse, paying a little more, knowing that I'd get the same level of quality but unfortunately the card lasted only 5 months. I used it at stock values but one day it died and didn't show an image anymore. I returned it to the seller since in my country is who takes care of the warranty. They reimbursed me and never got to know how or why it died. Wish they could have attempted to repair and return it to me or at least explain but alas I was left with the mystery.

It's amazing how good the quality of Sapphire products (relative to other manufacturers) is compared to what they were manufacturing 20 years ago as an Ati partner. At least with the Radeon 9xxx series they used low quality components and heatsinks that barely kept temperatures in check.

No real surprise that a Sapphire card would survive. I bought some Sapphire cards in the past when I used ATI and AMD cards before. Always absolutely rock solid. Haven't use AMD GPU since 2080, but, it seems they haven't lost their ways. Still rock solid today. Good to know, if/when I return to AMD GPUs, will definitely be going back to Sapphire. Nicely done on repair as well/. 🍻

I have an ASRock Radeon RX 7900 XTX Phantom Gaming OC and it has a steel spine which causes it to not need an anti-sag support because it's built-in to the card itself. It doesn't sag so I'm not concerned. The Taichi model also has the same thing.

my GPU sits outside my case upright, on a 3D printed stand with a PCIex16 to PCIex16 high quality extension cable and a power cable extender poking through a hole in the case side door. It pulls cooler ambient temps from the room instead of air in the case which is of higher temp and unless I'm hammering cyberpunk or Modern Warfare the fans are spinning but make very little distraction. It runs 20 degree cooler. If GPU makers cared about our investment in GPU's then they would never be inside a case on top of a buzzing hot circuit board with the total weight of the body hanging downwards and hot air blowing over them.

Hello, I have the same card as repaired in this great video. I am getting a GPU hotspot delays between 15C and 25C and it's vram can rise up to low 90Cs. First I wonder if this Delta isn't too high-dangerous. Secondly, I was thinking of going watercooled with alphacool and I am wondering whether anybody has any suggestion for the thermal paste and or thermal pads regarding brand and thickness. Kind regards. PD.- I live in Spain and I'd love to learn how to repair graphic cards

I agree that Sapphire makes good AMD cards, but i think the saving grace here was the fact that this card is likely very new and has not been put through many many heating up cycles like a card that has seen constant use for a year or more. Those heat cycles weaken everything in the card and over time it will get more and more susceptible to dumbbell damage.
