As a kid it was always a great day when Mom had to work and asked Dad to cook...we either wound up at McDonald's or KFC. And my Dad was a fan of the fried apple pie. Watching this video I can almost smell that filling. Wicked! (And I don't care what anyone says...the burgers used to be bigger back in the day.)

so did I. Those deep fried pies were the truth!! ... and the fries were better too. Something has definitely change with the fries too. Back then the fries were still delicious even when they got cold. we used that solid shortening!😋, I don't know for a fact but I bet they don't anymore. I don't know what they were thinking by discontinuing the original (fried) apple pie and replacing them with the awful baked(?) version. Apple pie is an indulgence, stop trying to make dessert fake-healthy.

Another McDonald's old school employee from the '80s. My first job! As a kid, my order was a hamburger, small fry, orange drink, and apple pie (STRICTLY Apple)! Broke my heart when they changed the pies up. I tried it once, and never ordered one again. This is going to be a great treat between Christmas and New Year's 24. Thanks AB 😊

Hey, hears a tip from a pastry chef for your next apple pie filling; Before you add the butter, stir in 2-3tbls of heavy whipping cream and let it cook down for a minute or so. Once you add the butter and stir it in, you will now have a caramel apple pie filling. I Hope You Enjoy! 👍🏽 Here's one more tip; After your apple pie filling is prepared, either with or without the heavy whipping cream addition, fold in some peanut butter chips(just like chocolate chips, only peanut butter), then pour into your crust. Now you have a peanut butter and apple pie. Enjoy! 👍🏽

That puff pastry dough is everything and I add a touch of allspice to my apple filling along with the spices you used. At my job we made these for a function of 600 ppl. Drizzle caramel on the plate & cut the pies in half did a rosette of whip cream with a sprig of mint & raspberry for garnish 💚💚💚💚

Hi AB. I'm new to ur channel and subscribed. In the country where i'm from we call em Apple Beignets or Appel Bollen or Appel Flappen. That's Dutch language. I come from Holland. We drink coffee or chocolate milk with it 😋😁 We eat it with whipcream and/ or pour some chocolate sauce over if and yes we eat em mostly in the winter time. Turned out real good looking , tasty too.... I do have one suggestion for you though.... Instead of Granulated sugar & Cinnamon as topping , make a thin powdered sugar & milk glazing with some cinnamon & dredge the whole pie & coat it in a very thin Glaze & when it completely cools & dries it'll be so good adults & kids alike will love them ...🍎🥟🥟🥟 Thanks for sharing ...... 👍👍👍👍👋👋👋👋
