Back in 2008-2010, while building so of my first few build and being on quite a budget, me and some friends built multiple pcs using 1/2 inch plywood and and couple carpenter tools to create pc cases. Several reason this works so well.. the case size and layout is fit custom for the parts selected for the build so size is minimized and uts truly one if a kind especially with the custom paint jobs we did. Such great memories.

Nicely done Jay. I love it. I made one out of an aluminum case which housed my tools once. Back in the days with an AMD K6. Made a 400 run at 450. In my first mod ever I used real glas, no plexiglas, no tempered glas, It was a Cybox case, with a Pentium 2. Yellow frame, metallic green outside, and a few holes on top. I modded the cd-burner so you could see inside. Burner blue and PSU red. Loooong time ago, hahaha. Very fun to do. Love these kind of videos. Modding has come a long way and it rules! I cooled a PC with a radiator of a VW Golf II once, with an Eheim aquarium pump.

@@buca117 I mean, there are more things to think about if you want to make a Computercase fully waterproof. VRM's, Storage, Ram and other components still do produce heat and would overheat in a fully sealed housing. This was a great video! The case looks fantastic, super solid mounting, spot on theme... so nice. A sweet follow up build would be to do a thin matching briefcase that has the monitor & peripherals.

Loved this build!! BUT to be the perfect LAN party PC instead of this beautiful pelican case it should be one of those 8L beer keg with actual tap beer maybe with also a Peltier tabs to keep it cooled ... that would be something! Perfect job Jay, and I love your spirit and chemistry with Phil! Keep it coming!

I remember a guy on Twitter suggesting a Pelican case PC build to both of us a few weeks ago 👍 Glad to see you made it happens, it's a fantastic form factor and honestly the perfect LAN party weapon. I still want to build a smaller PC in one of those old school metal Ammo Cans but I bet it would be really difficult to keep cool while keeping it looking like an Ammo can 🤔 I'm open to suggestions? I'm also wondering if I could just 3D print an insert for that can that holds all the components together so it could be easily pulled out all as one part and the can would literally just be a container that nothing is physically connected to.

Can we have video on a rugged pc ? There are no projects on a rugged pc that can withstand drops, shock etc. Now-a-days we can have almost none moving parts in a pc ( there are fanless coolers available, ssd etc ). it would be interesting to see your + jays take in this.

I wonder if some sort of collaborating mod would work. Both would start mod'ing something, then send it to the other for the other to mod another piece, and keep doing it until they both felt they were done with the mod's. Of course have a debriefing afterwards for the viewers. Neither should they share the vids of doing the mods until the mods were done, to prevent spoiling potential ideas to the other. Perhaps they would have to decide on hardware beforehand or add hardware as they go, or add hardware first and then mod.
