This recipe takes APPLE CAKE to another level! Easy moist apple cake recipe

There is nothing as comforting as a home-baked apple cake. This easy, super moist apple cake recipe is packed with fresh apples, cosy spices and a crunchy crumble topping. It is irresistibly good!
INGREDIENTS:
For accuracy, I would recommend using the gram measurements provided as those are the exact quantities I use. Cup measurements are given as estimates (based on US cup measurements) to make it easier for those who do not have a scale.
▢ 3 medium/large apples - any red baking apple (Royal Gala, Honey Crisp, etc.)
For the Sliced Apple Topping
▢ ⅓ cup (66 g) soft brown sugar
▢ ½ tbsp ground cinnamon
For the Crumble (Streusel Topping)
▢ ¼ cup (50 g) soft brown sugar
▢ ⅓ cup (66 g) white granulated sugar
▢ 1½ cups (180 g) all purpose flour
▢ ¼ tsp salt - omit if using salted butter
▢ 1 tsp ground cinnamon
▢ ½ cup (113 g) unsalted butter - melted
For the Cake Batter
▢ 1¼ cups (150 g) all purpose flour
▢ 2 tbsp (16 g) cornstarch - also known as cornflour in some countries
▢ 1 tsp baking powder
▢ ¼ tsp baking soda
▢ ¼ tsp salt
▢ 1 tsp ground cinnamon
▢ 1 tsp powdered ginger
▢ ¼ tsp ground cloves
▢ ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
▢ ¾ cup (150 g) soft brown sugar
▢ 2 large eggs - room temperature
▢ ½ cup (100 g) unflavoured vegetable oil - I use canola oil
▢ ¼ cup (70 g) Greek yoghurt - room temperature
▢ 1 tsp vanilla essence/extract

Hi MK! I just made this but i substituted the brown sugar to palm sugar as it’s what i have in hand. Also used one fuji apple instead of all royal gala. It turned out SOOOO PERFECT. Wallahi not even an hour and my family already gobbled half of it. I’ll be making it again tomorrow to bring for a picnic. Trust me this is the best cake , made in just 2:30 hrs , trust me this includes everything peeling , mixing , baking , cooling till the first bite in my mouth . I have just made this cake. It came out so good.. So flavourful.. It's very yummy. I am proud of myself for baking such a delicious❤ cake. I was a bit hesitant of adding these spices at first.. Hi MK! I baked the cake today as I couldn’t resist! It took me more than an hour to cook. However, I have yet to slice and taste it. But I am definite it will be worth all the wait. Request you to add prep time too. My mistake could be that I have an 8 inch springform pan; some liquid also oozed out to the bottom. So extra work of scrubbing it!

Hi there! I haven't tried this recipe with multigrain flour so I'm not too sure how it'll turn out sorry! You may need to add a little more moisture to the batter (perhaps a bit more oil or yoghurt) as multigrain flour absorbs more moisture and will give you a drier cake :)
