“Stay curious… no matter what side you’re on, it’s better to let them have their opinion and try to understand them”. Great clip

I enjoyed seeing the example attack. Seeing the Seems like response formulated in real time was helpful. I feel compelled to opine that nearly everyone's political position is beyond self examination and certainly thoughtful introspection. Most everyone holds their beliefs at a cellular level and has no idea why.

I like using labels and mirrors. To be honest, it seems like I've added this into my daily conversations 😂. Always good stuff. I really appreciate the black swan technique and all that you guys do 😊.

Would a "no" oriented question or 2 be appropriate? "Would it be the craziest thing you've ever heard if someone believed that music can enrich & uplift the lives of others?" "Would I be a horrible person for trying to do that?".

@MariaRodriguez-bp1tl it might be that, knowing the patterns, hearing "sounds like" so much sounded too scripted. I was trying to think of a way to break that up.
@InSync3912 Жыл бұрын
@@jonnypescado1 Yes, it was pretty robotic to me. Normal people do not talk this way and it would raise all my flags if I heard such type of script at any negotation, let alone business one

It sounds like you don’t think music can help people. It sounds like there’s never been a moment in your life were you were struggling or feeling some kind of way where music was able to help you through that. Sorry this one hit me I’m a musician and i am not the most important person at my shows, that title goes to every single member of my audience

Music is beautiful and brings joy into people’s lives. It sounds like this guy is a miserable codependent or narcissist who wants to give the impression of being benevolent! 😅

Sounds like it’s so repetitive. Can’t see how this was turning around with a bunch of sounds like

The negotiator tried using mirrors, and the guy just slithered out of it, like he was playing a game of cat and mouse, which missed the point of the exercise.

The role play was terrible. The guy kept moving the goal post. This is a great example of "proof of life" This guy had no intention of giving you anything to work with. You could hear it in his voice. Terrible.

Proof of life?
@joelgarcia78744 Жыл бұрын
@@mrlabonte I guess it would be more "vision of the future." In hostage negotiations, does this person want to live/getaway? Or, are they on a killing journey?
@mrlabonte Жыл бұрын
@@joelgarcia78744 Oh right. I do think these things work at times, but theory is different to practical, and sometimes doesn’t exactly work out the way they do during practice. The goal is not always the same.
@joelgarcia78744 Жыл бұрын
@Mister Labonte In this case, the negotiator would then have to figure out the best and quickest exit strategy. If the hostage taker's vision of the future ends here, the negotiators job would then be to get the person, in front of a window for a sniper to get a clear shot. It's not a sin to not get a deal. However, it is a sin to take a long time to not get a deal.
