@Jay Cee It is obvious that you either have no idea how statistics on shootings work or you are just so incredibly biased that you will twist reality, the facts to fit your agenda. Statistics on shootings by police in the US tell you the race gender, age of the citizen shot, the circumstances, why the police were called there for, if the person was armed or unarmed. And the statics show that the majority of people who are unarmed but still shot by police are black or people of color.

@n?a All humans should have the ability to show compassion. What I found moving about this clip is that this attorney is sharing how things went down for her during her encounter with the police. She didn't have to do this, but she did. She is also telling anyone who will listen that she believes that she is here today to tell her story because she has a privilege that Tay did not have. Thus, she is acknowledging that issues with race exist and are real. Not every human will do this. Some humans don't believe that race is ever an issue. To me, extending a Black Card is like saying, "thank you for acknowledging what people of colour have been dealing with since forever".

No, if there’s problems, you attempt to fix them, not bail because it’s hard. Criticizing America’s problems does not mean I disrespect the people who have served our country. If anything, I want to make yours and their fight worthwhile; so they can serve America at its true best. We have hope to change our situation, to create a better country.

This kind of stuff is still happening in the US in 2019 meanwhile im living in a muslim majority and multi racial country where although Its not a perfect place and we have pur own problems but the non muslim minority live in peace and have never faced this kind of discrimination living in a muslim majority society.Yet muslims are often painted as terrorist and Islam as a violent religion when in fact we dont face this kind of racism and crime rates like those seen in the US. Its shocking that this type of backward mentality and bigotry is happening in the US, the so called leader of the free world.

User 548753 your right I have my criminal justice degree and all cops need to go through years of learning to train the mind that people aren’t bad, if you want to be a cop you have to remember your pulling someone over or trying to apprehend someone who already might not be having a good day and you unknowingly may add on to that bad day so long story short more community policing less ticket and apprehension

I'll clarify for your 5 neurons. She was saying that because she's WHITE - her biggest worry was "what if they had shot my DOG." If she had been a black woman, her biggest worry would've been "what if they shot ME." Because she recognizes that interactions with police are VASTLY different depending on the color of one's skin. She in no way, shape or form compared a person to a dog.
@jonathanbussu6748
@jonathanbussu6748 5 жыл бұрын
t A black woman in the situation might also think "what if they shot my dog" don't make assumptions on peoples reactions, espessially to an hypothetical event, there was no dog on the Tay's 911 call. If the cop is gonna shoot by mistake he might shoot the dog or a person, you are in no position to make assumptions as to how a person will react depending on their skin color.
