I was taught to tighten/torque the bolts/nuts of suspension parts after the vehicle is returned to “curb” position or in this case, off the lift and back on the ground. Some people refer to this as “clocking” the suspension. This prevents the bushings from being stretched when the weight of the vehicle is returned to the bushings. Premature wear is prevented.

Great video. Just changed the shocks on my 2011 F250’ 6.7. Had Rancho 7000s and they were stiff. Changed them because two leaked after a couple of years. Went back with the Rancho RS5000X and a new steering stabilizer RS5000. Super easy. Did it on my back-no lift required. If I remember correctly, the Rancho 5000 was the original shock on that truck. I like the softer ride. Ford wanted $670 or so to replace all 4. $333 off Amazon was the cheapest for the package.

I went with the Bilstein 4600's and honestly, I'm not all that pleased with them. I think it really stiffened the ride. In hindsight, I think I should have gone back with the OEM. I also put on a dual steering stabilizer with the Bilstein stabilizers.

Super easy to replace superduty shocks. I have done it in a parking lot before. Been through a few different ones. The cheapest ones I tried from Autozone worked well on road and to stiff offroad. But wore out within a couple months. Ranchero 5000 are pretty loose for a heavy duty truck on road. But did well offroad. Should have gotten the 9000 that are adjustable. Right now running stock ones on my truck since it's still under warranty. Interested in trying the Fox 2.0 on my new truck.
