I remember this quest like it was yesterday. I skipped a part in the quest and when straight to the court of oryx part to get the piece. The quest bugged out and I never got the gun. It was heart breaking.

More primary use.......um about that, that's how it was after way to many changes. They nerfed special ammo economy into the ground and put special in boxes the same way heavy is. At one point it was shotguns and ability spam then snipers and ability spam then side arms and ability spam since side arms were a special weapon back then. Then just ability spam, there was a time when exotics and abilities ruled crucible especially trials. I'd say from what I could tell year1 d1 was the reign of primary weapons and primary gun skill then after the various changes to primaries and the like it was 2 or so years of mostly ability and special weapon usage being the highest with outliers being things like clever dragon or doctrine of passing or primaries that would stand out for being so good that people complained about them because they wanted their special and ability spam to not be in jeopardy. In fact how bungie handled nerfs and buffs come yr1 and 3 of d1 is why you'll still see jokes like "we heard you wanted us to nerd one eyed mask so we are nerfing how fast outlaw reloads your gun and buffing enemy health by 20%.". Bungie would do unwanted or unnecessary changes like that all the time and to this day and they do it sporadically so it's like while they have access to direct data it feels like they arent playing the game with us to see why we aew so for certain changes so they end up nerfing things to hard then when they finally decide they hit it to hard they go "um heres a buff of about 1.4, 0.4 and 2.34% to what we nerfed." And it's like nah it's still to much trouble to use it since the thing has been butchered. Rant aside back to the primary thing I'd say primaries did feel better in d1 then in d2 to me at least. They still feel off in d2 ever since the beta they have. Only primaries that would have needed some love come end of d1 I would say are certain auto rifles and archetypes of auto rifles just needed some more love to be a bit more viable.

I'd agree with you. But d2 tried to incentivise primary fights by making it the only option in the game and people hated it. Slow ttks also didn't help

I remember waiting ages for this scout to launch. I remember it being in House of Wolfs trailer as the vesta dynasty and was really disappointed when it didn’t launch with it. I remember playing TTK day one and surprisingly got the quest from petra and was so excited. Very nostalgic.

The concept art of destiny 1 is what I wanted for destiny (and I did get it, mostly) the dark dystopian but fantastical post-apocalyptic world the concept arts of this game presents, give so much of that unic vibe I prefer this more militaristic and warstyle destiny 1 over the more flashy super-hero esque of destiny 2 Is it wrong that I want my world building to be taken seriously?

One of the best red dots in D1. The only thing I would have changed is make that front sight post a little smaller because it could obscure the target. I loved the overall aesthetic of that scout rifle, but it was a mediocre performer. And I do remember that quest taking quite a long time.

I think artificially tune gating quests is the least favorite of mine. Bad Juju Quest, Whisper catalyst, Outbreak Catalyst, Worldline Zero catalyst are some of the examples. I can get around the lengthy quests like Deathbringer, Lumina, Thorn etc, but time gating is the worst. The second in line are RNG quests like Malfeasance

Yeah I hate time gated exotic quests. If they take long that's fine but waiting around to do the next step is awful quest design. Bungie does it a lot. All it does is pad out the content and makes players log in a week or 2 later.

D1 crucible is so much better than D2. I remember playing Trials with my friend Austin and his friends and we just had a blast! Yes, there were sweats of course, it’s trials, but there weren’t that many insta-kills as there are in D2. You always had a fighting chance in D1.

I’ve been playing a lot of d1 lately and Honestly d1 to me looks way better than d2. I don’t know if it’s art style but d1 looks way less pixelated than d2, and god damn the felling of getting a double exotic drop and finishing a exotic quest is amazing.

WTF happened to scout rifles!? I played D1 and D2 yesterday and the difference was night and day. I feel like in D2 the rifles are shooting spit wads. Also the sound and feel was better in D1 as well. I tested out a few rifles in D2 that I haven’t used in a while and to me, D2 year 1 scout rifles were as close to D1 as can be, but those are going away soon anyways.

The different here is that the blue armor IS the main armor settup, do yeah you will get stuck with blue armor so when you do get legendary armor is a huge difference D2 armors are all useless, as for Meta I don't know what you mean?
