It’s too late to say, but it’s far easier to run wires in flexible conduit through the ribs and channels of the van first, before you insulate and line the roof. Run and mark them. You got there in the end. Looks good

It’s too late to say, but it’s far easier to run wires in flexible conduit through the ribs and channels of the van first, before you insulate and line the roof. Run and mark them. Then use automotive sika and a couple of holding screws to attach timber strips to the steel of the van then you can attach your shiplap to the ceiling piece by piece

we should absolutely have done that! It would be so much easier! but we learn as we go so there is a lot of back and fourth with all of the stuff.

you mean you don't want to have insulation at all? that would of course be easier ;) but from what we learned insulation is really important.
