I love how they're basically saying that John, the beloved disciple and the only one present at Christ's crucifixion, was right there when Christ said that and yet John somehow misunderstood what Christ was saying. And, on top of all that, Christ trusted John to spread the gospel and make disciples of all nations. At least Paul has the excuse of converting maybe 3-5 years after the ascension. So, are there any contradictions in scripture or not?

The Bible was written based on the account of Jesus that were teached and preached by His disciples to the people at that time (read Matthew 10:1-20). So those people who have heard the teaching of Jesus and the teaching of His disciples can write about Jesus. So those people who have healed by Jesus are the witnesses of Jesus. Because Jesus performed miracles in front of them. And Jesus said, I have Spoken openly to the world. I always taught in synagogues or at the temple where the Jews come together. I said nothing in secret. Ask those who heard Me. Surely they know what I said (John 18 :20).

It wasn’t a declarative statement. The context was about young people having interfaith dialogue. One of the things that has impressed me most about the young people here is your capacity for interfaith dialogue. This is very important because if you start arguing, “My religion is more important than yours...,” or “Mine is the true one, yours is not true....,” where does this lead? Somebody answer. [A young person answers, “Destruction”.] That is correct. All religions are paths to God. I will use an analogy, they are like different languages that express the divine. But God is for everyone, and therefore, we are all God’s children. “But my God is more important than yours!”. Is this true? There is only one God, and religions are like languages, paths to reach God. Some Sikh, some Muslim, some Hindu, some Christian. Understood? Yet, interfaith dialogue among young people takes courage. The age of youth is the age of courage, but you can misuse this courage to do things that will not help you. Instead, you should have courage to move forward and to dialogue.

You can worship the same God, but incorrectly. That is what Jews and Muslims do. It is still the God of Abraham, however in their effort to worship Him, they do so incorrectly because they either reject what He did or claim He did more than He really did.

@@eddardgreybeard from what I seen, there’s a non denomination movement called “ The Red Letter Christians “, they solely follow the words of Christ( in red) and use it for Social Justice reasons, my thing is how can they trust that those red words are even truly Christ’s if they don’t trust the apostles who wrote them. I don’t even understand how they can interpret the New Testament w/o non red texts and the Old Testament. Luke 10:16 actually breaks there logic tho as Christ holds the Apostles Words to the Same regard as his own(it’s in red so they should believe it) I am surely confused my friend

First of all, I want to start off by saying that I believe the entire bible in the KJV is inspired by the Holy Spirit. But tell me, how can Paul say in Romans chapter 4 that Abraham was justified by faith and NOT works and James claims in James 2 that Abraham WAS justified by works? you cannot deny that it's there. At the same time both Paul and James were both inspired by the Holy Spirit to pen those writings.

Paul saying that works aren't something to boast about suddenly means that Abraham's works were useless ? I personally don't see how any rational person could say that ... why cant you be saved by BOTH ? or would that just contradict YOUR narrative of the bible ? also it seems kind of dishonest to mention James 2:21 without the verse before it as it clears alot of things "But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only." James 2 :20-23 so pretty much Paul said that Abraham believed and so his works did count, but they weren't something to show off , especially Infront of god and so only his faith counted , James carries on the story , saying that because he had faith, he preformed his works and so his faith grew in value , so he was saved by both FAITH AND WORKS ! NOT one or the other but BOTH !

The apostles were attempting to directly quote Jesus in the bible to the best of their ability. It's debatable whether the original manuscripts were written perfectly, but for this particular debate it's not important. Just because the apostles used the word ''father'' does not imply that it was right for them to do so. They are human, and they sin. The bible makes this clear. Jesus was not saying that you should do everything the apostles do. Merely to follow them. The apostles did tons of things that weren't perfectly aligned with God. If Jesus meant that we should follow the apostles no matter what, we would be okay with their sin. No matter what the apostles do, it does not go above, or erase God's words as written by them. Most bible's aren't perfect. Most Christians believe this. The manuscripts and/or translations were written by humans. They're very possibly also not perfect. There's nothing that implies that any bible is perfect. All you can do is find one that's closest to God's true words. Whether that's the KJV for English, or even further back to the manuscripts. Which people do. You're steering clear from the actual argument protestants are making which is: God's words as written down by the apostles, have more value than the actions of the apostles as written. Them using ''father'' does not erase what Jesus says. And putting the actual words of Jesus before the actions of apostles is not even slightly close whatsoever to going towards atheism. It's the opposite.

We have everything we need in the 66 books of the cannon that's necessary for life and godliness. No need for anything else. Peter would agree with me. 2 Peter 1:3 seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. Then you have the proclamation of the word of God associated with signs and wonders in order to authenticate what was being said by the apostles. 2 Corinthians 12:12 The signs of a true apostle were performed among you with all perseverance, by signs and wonders and miracles. When the cannon of scripture was completely the apostolic word became the written word we have today.
