You did good overall! As a fellow Winton player I noticed a few small things that might help (sorry if you've heard these before.) 1. With the addition of the secondary to his tesla cannon there's a new combo you can do when diving enemies where you charge secondary as you jump, fire, and as you land on them melee to cancel the animation. It's a bit tricky to get down, but can burst squishies pretty quickly. 2. Really minor thing, but it does help moving around, when you land while doing a mostly horizontal leap you can jump at the end to keep a bit of the momentum going. Like I said it's minor, but really helps especially going through doorways and getting to cover a bit quicker. 3. On the bastion matchup in particular I actually tend to stay winston unless they have the whole shred monkey comp. If it's just him you can actually play into it surprisingly well by just faking a dive somewhere fairly safe and just baiting out the turret. Once you hear it go away you can re-engage and unless he's getting majorly pocketed he dies pretty quickly and even if he does it means that the supports are typically not helping out the enemy tank so it opens up a window for the rest of your team to focus them. Also congrats on making it to plat!

The "Mukt" in hindi near the wifi symbol on first point bugs me so much. Mukt is free in hindi but free as in freedom. They probably wanted Muft which is free as in free wifi. But they put "free" in google translate and got "Mukt" out. Same is true for a lot of Sym's dialogue too. Badly google translated hindi in a terrible accent. The voice actor is indian but she doesnt have an indian accent at all. but she keeps getting cast to play indian characters in games and puts on a fake accent.

To be fair, the game is made by non Indians who are just trying to be inclusive. You'll have to forgive their ignorance and hopefully just appreciate the representation and inclusion. Like, do you expect a handful of white guys to clock a 'fake Indian accent' when an Indian woman is doing it? But as for the poor translation, that is something I'm sure they'd fix if you pointed it out to them on Twitter or the official forums.

Speaking as the featured player here, I prefer Dva if only cause I can more carefully time my engages. I played a fair bit of Orisa during her meta so I know her, but I just find you run out of cooldowns and are just overwhelmed. I personally was also leaning towards Dva Winston on these maps that are new to me as I can navigate them a little easier with dive abilities. There are SO many hidden corners on this map!

You have any idea about the new acc lvl symbols? Before the update I was halfway through the green square lvl 375 and after I have the max symbol, which is weird since it wasnt mentioned anywhere in the update. I find it surprising that they're giving everyone over 200 (i'm assuming could be different) the max symbol

It's kind of a new term coined on this channel! It basically refers to the Winston style of dive-and-bubble, no matter what is going on. It was quite common in OW1 and still remains a habit of Winston mains today in lower ranks. I caught myself doing it a lot before I saw some recent videos here. The trick with Winston is to min-max your cooldown, as OW players should do with all cooldowns. Don't bubble just cause you landed. I've really been trying to train myself to bubble when I have a good reason to bubble, like when facing select enemies or specific burst damage, maybe key ultimates. Far too much of the time with 'jubble' you're wasting your bubble on trash damage that poses no threat to anyone.

you probably play more often than they do. two people can say "I've played overwatch for a month" but that can mean wildly different things. maybe one person plays every single day for 2-3 hours and the other person only has time for one hour over the weekend. also, knowing every corner of the map includes a lot of unnecessary knowledge. karq has done videos where top 500 players and even devs play overwatch geoguesser, where they are shown an image and have to guess which map it's from. a lot of them get a lot of them wrong but they're still really really good at the game.

The "losing your team" made me think of playing control maps when there will be 1 enemy left after a fight and my team is in control of the point and I'll start chasing that one person who's retreating to their spawn with 1 or maybe 2 people with me and I'm like "This will be such a great stagger!" Then I've got the enemy at like 50 health when the first person that died is coming back from spawn and I'll be wondering why I can't kill the 50 health guy and suddenly I'm getting pressured by two people but I thought I had three- then I turn to see all 4 of my teammates sitting on point watching my outline through the wall and going "What's our tank doing?"

(Featured player here!) Yeah I will say that as the higher you climb, the less this will happen! Usually around high gold going into plat, players will understand the value of chasing the stagger kills and will follow your lead! I think a lot of them are just so burned out by seeing far-too-aggro tanks dive completely to the enemy spawn and get overwhelmed that they are averse to any kind of push-forward strats. The new rules regarding re-spawn so far don't seem to hinder this too much since stagger kills don't get lumped into the regroup wave after enough time has passed .

At 16:20 it is really important to stick with your team. If you rush to point with a teammate and leave the rest of your team behind. Then the enemy can just win 5v2 or 5v3. But if you stick with your team, you get the opportunity to pick off stragglers and win the fight. If you sacrifice the team fight to take point first, then the enemy kills you and takes point anyways. The 5%-10% capture you could get for being first to point isn't worth it
