Slow & steady. Sometimes I feel the same way, but you find things that are filling for those days. Like lentils, beans, veggies with protein like quinoa and flavored water. If you're going down ... you're doing well! Focus on small steps like the next 10 lbs, not the entire 120. And find support 😊😊 P.S. I'm old school & have a poor relationship history w/food, so I've had to adjust my expectations and learn to give myself grace. I have a goal of more than 120, but I'm only aiming for 10 at a time. I think I understand one reason why the super-obese find it so hard to be motivated enough to follow the diet. It's because they are exchanging one form of misery for another. Their obesity makes them miserable, but their out-of-control eating kept them in their comfort zone. The drastic changes in their eating habits make them miserable...SO, for the time it takes to lose enough weight to qualify for surgery, they have to endure both the misery of being super-obese and "starving"...Very tough.

This was something that was NEVER seen in the past. When I was growing up, admittedly a long time ago, it was unheard-of to be even 300 pounds and you'd have to hide in the house, not show yourself. If you were 50 lbs overweight, you were massively obese. Even thin women wore girdles under their clothes to appear thinner. No bumps or bulges were allowed. The other day I saw a 20-year-old in a bikini walking through a shopping mall. She must have been well over 300 lbs. Where you'd get a bikini that size, I do not know.

Thank you for posting this. I lost 30 pounds earlier this year on a weight loss program. I did not maintain my healthy habits and have gained 20 pounds in 8 months. This is ridiculous! I'm going back to the gym, portion control and water. Weight loss is not as complicated as ive made it to be

Someone who weighs over 600 lbs has lost the ability to earn a living and is unable to shop at the grocery store. How are they able to obtain the 6,000 - 8,000 calories per day? If there was any way we could figure this out, surgery would not be necessary.
