What blows my mind here and now is the synchronicity of these episodes with what's happening in my life!

Your podcast has been the mirror I've been seeking re: the perpetual question of "Why can't I just get started?". Thank you, a million times, thank you for providing this content. Jung's teachings never cease to amaze me. I look forward to exploring the rest of your episodes.

This podcast came in the right moment, I always experience this eclipse , and then I go back again to my goals, and I’m tired because it has become very repetitive . Hearing that it is normal lowers a bit of my worry and makes me choose to be more aware

I think there is something to say about what are we able to sustain and tolerate to get to the goal. Whatever the desire, if you aren’t able to tolerate the hard work or hunger pains or whatever it is, then the desire won’t be achieved. Quote: “His mother often said, When you choose an action, you choose the consequences of that action. She had emphasized the corollary of this axiom even more vehemently: when you desire a consequence you had damned well better take the action that will create it. “ - Lois McMaster Bujold So it does involve the mother instinct. Ha ha. I think there are so many parts of us and some of them are interested in different things and ways of going about it. If there is a way to unite them toward one common goal then maybe the path forward could be easier. And maybe that’s the case but we don’t understand that’s what we’re doing all along. We’re just in the midst of it. I will keep asking “what am I in service to.” That line is a gem. Thank you! But also what is the correlating result to my actions.

I havent had goals in my life for years...i achieve the goal + then something bad happens. So i have to get over the fear of accomplishing a goal only to have a part of my life shattered...to begin again

Deb's churning metaphor and taking small steps everyday only works if there is cream from the beginning meaning we can't turn water into butter. So that is to say that if you don't have a sense of direction from the start what is the purpose of churning... doesn't that make you more scattered? or somehow a waste of time and energy? The other points made in the podcast are absolutely valid though that we have to understand what we really want instead of doing something we should be doing.

What was said at 7:04 until 8:11 seems to be true for most of the people. However this shift happened way too early for me. Until maybe the age of 17 I just lived life going after my instincts, wanted to spend time with friends, was after sexual/romantic relationships and wanted to have fun in my life. Then around the age of 18 I lost interest in these kind of things and I'm on the search for purpose in life. Of course this actually sounds good, but it's really problematic for me. It feels like I lost my youth, never really lived life and can't enjoy the things my contemporaries enjoy. I'm 24 now and I really have problems finding work and keeping jobs as even the jobs that would be actually interesting to me are painful to do when they only serve corporate interest. People who can just live their life without those constant thoughts of purpose are those I envy.

I sympathize with this sentiment, even though I had an almost opposite experience in my younger years. I'm 35 and am going through a major life renovation, coming out of the mainstream LDS (mormon) church. I lived my young life always denying my instincts and trying to become an ideal that held eternal meaning. But now I'm looking for my unique personal meaning. I think if you're feeling lost that's an opportunity for discovery. I bet you'll find your unique niche in life, just follow those little lighbulb moments, the things that pop up and feel like something you'd really like to do or try and don't talk yourself out of it. I bet you know the difference between immature intincts and something calling to your deep inner self. Best wishes with your exploration!

The difference with churning though is you know you're gonna get butter at the end of it. Churning in life not knowing where you're headed and just being patient isn't guaranteed to produce butter.

Is what you are calling instinctive , is actually intuitive?? The people who do have a strongly conscious ego ( meaning they have sensing functions as primary in their ego) can have an easily conscious life. While those who are intuitive are more instinctive ?

I've been having really intense dreams lately that when i wake up I feel strange. I had a dream last night where she was really beautiful and I told her she was and she stared at me and then I woke up. I had another one where I was having a problem at the store and was feeling bad and I kept saying "what did you say to her" over and over and over and some lady brought me kimchi and I told her I didnt want it and her boyfriend said Unbelievable and they left crying. I then had a dream that I had to go get a new ringer for my new washing mashine from my old apartment. I woke up feeling really bad it was strange, i felt fucked up when i woke up

1) A beautiful message awaits you. 2) Woe unto those refuse the offering of fermented cabbage, the spicy gift from the depths, formulated to heal your gut, i.e. your intuition. 3) Looking back in order to move forwards will bring about an erroneous restoration of the self.
